8/1/20 Report on Maelstrom, Manic, and Magnie
Interview notes: Prior to events surrounding the breakout attempt, attempts to interview Magnie were unproductive and not deemed to be a priority use of manpower. Her court-appointed Barrister apparently had limited success, and has subsequently begun to represent Manic and Maelstrom. However, not surprisingly, she has declined to share any information from these interviews with us.

Hours before the break out was to occur, Agent Erin Ferguson was given a mission to remedy this problem. He was able to establish some rapport with Magnie, but found that any direct attempt to learn about her past caused her to become unresponsive. He concluded that she seemed to be at several different stages of intellectual and emotional development but that there was no clear pattern behind this phenomenon. He recommend and initiated a program of having her meet with others of her own age, as he suspected that her apparent inexperience with any peers aside from her family contributed to this problem. This program has met with only marginal success, but lacking a better option will be continued for now. Unfortunately, Agent Fergusson’s current assignment prevents any further interaction until August 4.

After initial failure to enter dialogue with any of the breakout attempt, we’ve adopted a low pressure approach of waiting until they’re ready to reveal more about their past.

Lab Work: Several SAB agents noticed something familiar about the appearance of the three siblings, particularly Maelstrom. Running their images through a SAB database returned a result after thirty four hours using the broadest search criteria. The image matched that of Melissa Beynon who would be about a year older than Mealstrom appears to be, had Ms. Beynon not been kidnapped and murdered four years ago. Ms. Beynon had been the only known child of the late Archibald Beynon and had begun to manifest some weak psychic powers before her kidnapping. [Further details classified]

DNA testing on blood samples taken from stains left by the battle confirm what the resemblance suggests. The three are near genetic matches to Melissa and descendents of Archibald Beynon. [Classified] For these reasons we believe it highly unlikely that Archibald Beynon had any other children by natural means or was aware of any produced by other means. This is further supported by preliminary reports that all three telekinetics’s DNA shows many sign of genetic engineering, Magnie the most modified and Maelstrom the least. Unfortunately, further analysis will require superior blood samples, only attainable with the telekinetics’s consent, which is unlikely to be given any time soon.

These disturbing results have been deemed to justify further investigation. However, any real progress will like require the cooperation of the telekinetics.

Field Research: The only productive research into the past of the three telekinetics has been the discovery of a possible past connection between Magnie and the Isle of Man. Interviews conducted in cooperation with Isle authorities have discovered that on May 16, about a month and a half before her July 7 incident, there was another occurrence of unusual aerial activity over a less inhabited part of the island. Several residents reported noticing several planes and a group of parachutist.

Our best report came from an aviation enthusiast who watched the event for several minutes. She reported that one sky diver, rather than deploying a parachute, seemed to be caught in a net dragged by plane. This witness noticed that the plane was careful to choose an angle of approach and follow a subsequent trajectory which safeguarded the caught individual. She simply assumed that this was an example of some new adventure sport.

Subsequent investigations revealed that those behind the incident indeed used adventure sporting as a cover. The Isle’s status as an independent Kingdom, albeit a Crown dependency, appears to have been used to assist in covering up the true nature of the incident. The paperwork filed relating to the mission at cursory investigation appears to be in order, but more in depth inquiries quickly revealed that the only real people and organizations listed could credibly claim no knowledge of the May 13th event. Sadly, analysis of the falsified papers led to no additional leads.

While there is no evidence linking the May 16 and July 7 incidents, we view the coincidences as sufficiently compelling to warrant their inclusion in this document.
