[Date: October 7] * Breaker catches up to Maggie. "That was.. crazy." * Marguerite is walking stolidly. She's popped her jaw back into place, and looks at Breaker. "Which part?" * Breaker slows. "Just a swarm of actual demons. I mean, a lot of the duels have involved real power, but never quite felt like what I'd be fighting." Now you saw it. You still think this tournament's a good idea? * Breaker's voice has a slightly flat tone. "Not as much." * Marguerite grunts. "Don't blame you, much. I didn't give much of a fuck till today, either. Got some real things to think about, now." * Breaker nods. "I was getting worried about those things, Sar told me about them, some tended to eat their pray. I don't know how she summoned her bike, but she was making damn sure they got exorcised the instant you went down. That's just not the kind of people you want to be workin' for, even if the pay's right. Even a merc's got to have some scruples, just so they don't get fucked over. * Breaker nods. "Well, at least she dismissed them herself. But you're right, I wouldn't want to work with someone that broke those out. There's nasty and then there's.. evil I guess." * Marguerite stops at the chopper and pulls off the bandanna, letting her hair loose. She starts dabbing at her bleeding lips and gums. "Yeah. Listen, I did cowboying and merc runs for years. You wanna know how you can get fucked runnin' solo, you come talk to me." She grins. "Help you to get why I'm workin' here." * Breaker nods. "I will." She then glances back in the direction of the fight. "Though right now I feel like it'd be nice to have backup for a whie." Never hurts to have someone you trust coverin' your ass. * Marguerite hauls herself into the chopper and flops on the seat. "Learned that today, too." She puts her head back and closes her eyes. * Breaker nods and gets in. She seems content not to follow up for now. [End!]
