[Date: October 23, 2020. Time: Dusk in Japan. Yuri's ceremony started shortly after the tournament ended. There's been food, meditative rituals, and confusing but witty advice. Breaker's getting some early training in not making an ass of herself and it seems to be helping. Or maybe she's still a bit out of sorts after the world's slowest non-betrayal.] (Oh yeah, give me your curse roll Mecha.) [The elemental monks and Breaker have accompanied you to a five story pagoda with a fairly small base. It looks like you'd have to crouch if you climbed up to the upper levels, they aren't that tall.] [When you reach there, Breaker speaks.] As your second, I am to accompany you on your final series of tests. There is one for each of the four ::one of the monks gently nudges her and she looks at the pagoda:: five levels of the pagoda. You will choose your tests and your tactics will.. uh... the way you beat them defines your new powers. [And we'll start now.] [Other monks seem surprised that Breaker remembered that much of the script.] * Yuri is in her monky garb. She looks up the pagoda. "Yeah." Beat, then she idly quips, "You got that all scribbled on your arm?" * Breaker shakes her head. "No." She also clasps her hands together. "So, let's do it." One of the monks coughs. "Oh, uh, also..." She unclasps her hands and glances down at them. "A trial may be offered repeatedly, but you will not be able to take them all. And now, ready?" * Yuri is silent for a long moment, and then nods, saying much like the beginning or end of a prayer, "Let it begin." (Scratch.) * Yuri peers back to Breaker. "Those two things don't really go together, Breaker. What do you mean?" Uh, at each level you pick your trial. If you decide to skip a trial at level one, you might still be able to do it at level two. But if you skip it at level five... At least, I think that's what it means. Right? [Monks nod.] * Yuri nods a little. "Right..." then she's silent a long moment. After that, she intones, "Let it begin." [The doors to the Pagoda are opened and the two of you enter. Inside is a ten by ten room with white plaster walls framed by wooden beams. You entered from the South.] * Yuri mutters, "You coulda made the 'skipping it at level five' a little less ominous, Breaker." [There's three doors. One to the North, on which is painted an image of Maggie in the desert. She has a heavy looking pistol drawn. To the West is a painting of Bookie standing on the wreckage of his mecha. To the East is a painting of Kristof. N/W/E?] * Yuri blinks as she looks around. "... wow, they... don't start off light." * Breaker shrugs. "They're sending you into hell, aren't they?" * Yuri nods. "More like I'm sending myself." She looks at each a moment, and then says, quietly, "Let's take care of the past first." She heads over to Bookie. * Breaker thinks about what Yuri says and follows along. [The image on the door becomes increasingly vivid as you approach. However, once you pass through the door, you're in a dark oddly silent place.] [So, you can't see much, unless you have a way to see in the dark I'm forgetting about. If so, go ahead and tell me. :P] I can't see anything. [Go ahead and give me a sixth sense roll.] * Yuri frowns, but remains silent as she tries not to be detected. Oh, wait, Breaker solved that. "... thank you for ruining any sort of surprise." * Breaker very quietly says. "Sorry." [The ground in front of you is alive as a raw earth elemental. It covers a space that goes back about 10 meters and is the support of attachment meant to keep anyone from crossing. From the edges you get the sense that you're probably in a cave with walls that are about four meters apart. [ANd hearing awareness.] * Yuri frowns and says, quietly, "Don't move forward." [You can't really hear anything.] * Breaker quietly replies. "Okay." * Yuri mutters, "Fine." Beat, then she speaks up. "Okay, elemental, I need to get through." [The earth rattles but makes no other reply.] * Yuri rolls her eyes and sheds her clothes, handing them to Breaker. "Here. I'm gonna jump past it all. See what's on the other side." * Breaker takes them. * Yuri flexes her knees a moment, takes a slow breath, and then starts to jump from wall to wall, in the darkness, attempting not to touch the ground. [Jump check.] [Yuri leaps up from one wall to another, each time she lands she scrambles a bit higher, but each jump also brings her a bit lower to the ground. She's nearly past the elemental when she gets a bit too low. The tunnel is lit up my small magma veins in a series of hands that form in the ground and try to grab the monk. [Two potential hits. They are unarmed (grapples).] [Yuri gets to the far end of the tunnel, but one of the hands, more than two feet across, has a hold of her leg.] [Yuri's turn.] [It's trying to pull Yuri back with some success, although her ability to stand her ground is greatly hampering its efforts.] [So fairly strong but not amazingly so.] * Yuri 's eyes glow as she pulls forward, resisting its grip and attempting to break free. She's close to the end! "C'mon...!" * Breaker watches attentively but doesn't intervene just yet. [Yuri pushes against the ground as she drags the hand towards the end of the tunnel. As she pulls one finger after another releases and the collapses into mud. The final strain drops as she hits the end. She may want a bath at the next available opportunity. The remaining magma veins shed light on a door of solid stone in front of her. There's no apparent handles, but there are smooth breaks with the surrounding wall.] * Yuri grunts her way free and then pants a moment, before yelling back, "There's a door on this side, Breaker!" * Breaker nods. "Want me to try to join you?" * Yuri stands up and flicks some mud off of her, onto the elemental. "Elemental, you wanna let her by so we can get on with this?" [The earth rumbles a bit, but when Breaker walks forward she passes unharrassed.] * Yuri waits for Breaker to show up and then nods and goes for the door. Hey, Bookie can handle it if he's in there. [Body (strength) check. -4 for superstrength level.] [Yuri has to put her back into it, but she's able to push the door back. Beyond it is a nicely arranged grotto with pillows, food stores, and a small electric generator. Bookie is presently playing on a handheld game machine. Well, he was until he was startled by the door opening.] [He's sitting by a pile of books and a lead box that's about the same size as a breadbox. * Yuri comes through the door naked and muddy. How convenient for him! She sees him and says, "Uhf. Gimme the robe, Breaker, or the poor guy might nosebleed to death." * Bookie looks worried as she glances over but he then calms down. "Don't worry, I'm cool." * Bookie points to his nose which is notably blood-free. * Breaker hands over the robe anyhow. * Yuri chuckles weakly and wraps it around her loosely and ties it at the waist. "Good to hear." Beat. "So where are we?" Not exactly sure. Raleigh says that neither her people nor VA know about it. I'm supposed to wait here a few weeks. If she's not back by then, she's dead. * Yuri replies, a bit angrily, "Your girlfriend's lucky I haven't run into her... because of her fucking around..." she trails off. * Bookie winces. "Yeah. She told me. I'm sorry, I don't remember. I can't imagine what it's..." Also, she tried to kill me. Not cool Bookie. Not cool. * Yuri glares at him, golden eyed, then adds, "S'funny. She's like a soldier. Cares about things, but not much in morals." Beat. "Guess that's why you're here." * Bookie doesn't quite look at Breaker. He does however pick up the box. "I asked her if she could fix it. She couldn't. Or at least that's what she said. But I bitched about it for a while and she gave me this. She said it was shielded in her room." * Yuri nods a little and exhales, slightly. "Yeah... can't really undo the past." She then looks at the box. OOoh. A lead box. That makes everything better. THanks Bookie. There's something in it. * Breaker replies overly quickly. "I knew that." [It's about the size of a breadbox. There's a note on the bottom that says "Should only be opened by someone that remembers. Otherwise it will revert." * Yuri glances to the two of them, then chuckles. "Yeah." She walks over to the box and holds out her hand. "You look okay, though." I think I'll be alright. I figure someone might give me sanctuary if she dies. She left a few suggestions. * Bookie doesn't exactly sound overjoyed, but he seems to understand that now is not a good time to throw a pity party. [He hands over the box] * Yuri is silent a moment, then steels herself mentally and opens it. "Maybe it's a movie that never existed. That'd be funny..." [It's one of the action figures. The same one that was in Raleigh's room early. It's still in the plastic wrapping. Although the Smee has been burned off the box on multiple locations, clearly by some sort of magic.] * Bookie looks it over. "Huh." * Yuri looks at it and says, quietly, "These are what saved him the first time from being taken." Beat. "It is funny. If weird." She clutches it in her hand as she says, quietly, "Hopefully this'll be over before too long, Bookie. We'll be going for Kristof soon." We'll talk then. * Bookie gulps. "Good luck." * Yuri says, a bit dryly, giving the lead box back to him. "Thanks." Beat, and a small smirk. "Put your head in that if a nuke goes off." [And the next time you step you're on the second floor. The Maggie picture is still to the North. To the South is a picture of Raleigh talking to an Indian woman. To the East there's still Kristof.] [You feel stronger (superstrength boost) particularly in your legs (level of jump). You also feel rested, as if you'd slept the night.] [Curse reroll.] [You can fine tune CP when this is done, I'll just give some quick benefits to keep things moving.[ [She has the lead box still.] * Yuri glances about, box in her hand, and then hands it to Breaker. "Here, for you. It'll make a good throwing weapon." * Breaker takes it. "It better. He owes me. Big." Yeah. * Yuri looks around at the doors. "Yeah. You can toss it at Raleigh when we get there." * Breaker nods. "Cool." * Yuri goes towards Maggie. "For now... there's something else I need to know." [And the desert begins to materialize. Sand carried by the wind stings unshielded eyes and Maggie is presently observing a partially excavated temple from cover. The style seems Egyptian. There's a half dozen guys standing around. One of them is in the driver's seat of a pickup truck with another by a mounted machine gun in the back.] [Maggie give me an awareness check.] [Sense of choice.] [Maggie quickly notices the new arrivals. Happily, she also notices who they are, as that was a good roll.] [Oh yeah, the guys all have AK-47s. It's still a good gun in 2020. ALthough now the Chinese models are less looked down upon.] [There's about a three lane road's worth of distance between the ruined building you guys are hidden by and the toughs. Breaker and Yuri emerged behind cover.] [They look fairly hostile, but they aren't actively patrolling.] * Marguerite swivels her head and gun over to look at the new arrivals, but doesn't have to fire! Hooray. "Yuri. Breaker. The backup's nice, but I don't think I phoned this one in." * Yuri eyes it all and says, "... well, no buildup in this one." Beat. "Nah... this's all me, Maggie." * Breaker waves her lead box. "Aw, you spotted us. I was going to not give away our position this time. Well, at least they don't know about us." * Marguerite gestures over the cover at the Men With Guns. "I don't really have time for an exorcism lesson now, you know? What'd you need?" [There's a few other crates and ruins around, so you could potentially get closer (with stealth rolls). But actually getting in would require being seen.] * Yuri crouches slightly. "Sorta on a vision quest for the 21st Century." Beat. "What's with the temple?" Temple's got an artifact, artifact's under guard by islamofascists, artifact goes on Bubba, artifact's gonna be mine. * Yuri nods. "Nice." Beat. "You want me to toss sone crates at 'em or something? Take a few shots and put some of that gun training to good use?" * Marguerite cracks a smile. "You? With a gun? Right, pull the other one. It makes a sound like a cow." * Yuri blinks and then says, "... yeah." Beat. "Yeah, you don't remember either..." she trails off. * Breaker thinks that through for a moment and then goes. "Oooh." Quietly. * Marguerite narrows her eyes. "Startin' to talk funny, Yuri. I've been through enough that crap like that starts sendin' signal flares." * Yuri shakes her head. "Another place and time, Maggie. Just assume I can shoot something heavy." * Marguerite looks at Yuri for a moment. "You goddamn monks. Seriously. Alright, but you're buyin' the scotch when you explain this shit later." * Yuri chuckles a little. "I... can handle that." I should make them buy me scotch when they explain things. I think it would help. * Marguerite looks back over the cover at the land. "It always does, kid." If you don't understand, at least you're drunk. * Breaker snickers in approval. Call it a 'crazy freaking monks' tax. Well, you can either sneak, or we can come up with a distraction. * Yuri flexes her fingers. "What're those crates filled with, ya think?" Fuck, I dunno. Rocks? Little Ibrahim's First Guide To Terrorism copies? (Either of you read Arabic?) (Yes!) (Yes I do.) I was kinda hopin' booze, but it didn't smell like it when I blew a couple up earlier. [Rations. Building materials. One crate with demolition materials. Oddly enough, none seem to hold medpacks. Shocking I know.] * Yuri looks out and peers. "... doesn't look like booze, but they've got one box filled with explosives." You want I should shoot it? * Yuri points it out for her. "Hey, this is your attempt to get an artifact. I'm just along for the ride." Beat. "As long as it doesn't flatten the temple." Yeah, that'd kinda defeat the point. Look, I know my ass can get close without a distraction. I'm askin' if you need a crutch or if we might as well sh... what the fuck am I askin' you for." [Marguerite moves so that the explosives are between the guards and her.] * Marguerite looks over to Yuri. "Hold put." * Yuri nods and replies, quietly, "Yeah. Sure." [Maggie takes a shot and one of the guards collapses. Init rolls.] [Maggie goes before the guards can react.] * Marguerite aims and fires at another guard. [Maggie, Breaker, Guards, Yuri.] [Another guard drops.] [Breaker stays put for now.] [The driver ducks and turns on the engine of the truck. One guard runs for the truck. The other three run towards Maggie unslinging their rifles and taking fairly wild quick shots. [One guard gets two potential hits from autofire. The other guard gets one potential hit.] [The guy who ran for the truck will be in position to fire the gun mount next round.] [Yuri.] [Well and Maggie defense rolls. Can't forget those.] Session Time: Mon Jan 15 00:00:00 2007 [Maggie quickly ducks behind cover to avoid taking any hits. Although that first shot was damn loud and sounded like it landed right where her head was a moment ago.] * Yuri mutters, "Funny. It's my quest, but she's doing the combat." She runs a hand over her head and waits. "May need to use that box a little early." [Now Yuri. Maggie right after.] WHEEEEEEEE-OOO! [Maggie if that's all Yuri is doing.] (Yeah.) * Marguerite pops back out of cover and shoots the crate of explosives. [Boom. The two guards approaching don't even get a chance to react and are thrown away with what look like mortal injuries. The driver had just started to move but over compensates and the pickup flips over and is leaking gas. The guy in the back is thrown free but doesn't land well. Can't tell if he's up right now. About half of the other crates are on fire.] HOT DAMN! Plans don't work much better'n that. * Breaker goes wide-eyed at that. The tournament fighting isn't really the same as a warzone. "We should probably get inside. Fast." * Yuri winces slightly. "Yeah, they don't." She stands up, slowly and looks out. "And yeah, we should. C'mon." She starts hoofin' it across the sand, light- footedly. Oh, yeah, hundreds of mad-eyed fascists on the way. * Marguerite pops out of cover and makes a hard run for the door. [Breaker runs inside two. The first chamber has six pairs of pillars going back with heiroglyphs along the walls. It's strangely cold once you're inside. Give me a sixth sense roll Yuri.] (two->too) [There's a three ghostly scarab beatles three meters up on the far wall. They're hidden from sight for now. They're abnormally large based on the feel you're getting and you're not sure physical weapons can touch them.] (Witness the power of making by five. :P) * Yuri looks at the far wall and goes, "... uh, okay, three big scarabs on the far wall. Non-corporeal." [Sorry, one small mistake in description. They're beyond the far wall. Hence hidden.] Oh, pleasant. You want to take a shot before I try to see if they like plasma? * Yuri shake her head. "They're on the other side of it. I don't think you can do anything to 'em." [There's some excited chatter outside, but nobody seems eager to follow you in.] [And it's just between two people for now.] * Yuri starts to walk forward. "You probably better hurry, right?" * Marguerite sighs. "Yeah." She walks forwards. [As you get deeper in you don't see any obvious exits to the room. Nor Eyes of Ra.] * Breaker keeps pace. Any monkly hints, here, or do I gotta start shootin' walls? * Yuri points at the far wall. "Nothin' but that there's spirits on the other side of that wall." Great. * Marguerite keeps walking. "You're about as helpful as a blue-on-black Etch-a- Sketch." [And the first beetle crawls through as the room further chills. It emerges from a circular etching of the sun about where Yuri indicated. It's a foot and a half wide and has nasty looking pincers. It's also quite translucent. Now that you're closer to the back, you can also see bloodstains on the floor, but no bodies.] [Init.] * Yuri starts to protest, "Look, at least you know they're ther--here." * Breaker takes a defensive stance. "I wonder if I can punch them.] [Maggie, Breaker, Beetles, Yuri.] [Maggie.] [Maggie tries that old time religion, but she should have been a'praying. She doesn't make it this time.] * Breaker throws the lead box at the critter. [She just misses.] [The beetle chitters and goes for Maggie. It crawls along the ground until it's about a meter away when it attempts to jump up onto her chest.] [However it's aim is off and she's able to avoid it.] [A second beatle emerges from behind the sun.] [Yuri!] [Oh, I forgot, +2 penalty to conventional attacks, accuracy helps. Doesn't matter for exorcism.] [Because for exorcism, size doesn't matter.] * Yuri sheds her robe again. Muddy? Possibly! She takes the amulet in hand. Tick, tick, tick, tick... golden flash! "Back," she says, assertively. [Yuri is still muddy. The recharge doesn't come with a bath.] [The first of the beatles is held in place and fades a bit, although it's still in view.] [Maggie.] * Marguerite turns to that beetle and brandishes her cross again. [Not Maggie's day.] [The beatle is now largely faded, another hit from Yuri and it should be gone.] [Breaker waits for the second beatle to approach, she stays back by the exorcists so the first can't get to her. [When the second beatle moves into range, she kicks at it. The kick is well aimed but it goes right through the beatle. The thing chitters and tries to jump onto her, but it misses.] [The third beatle emerges.] [Yuri.] * Yuri continues her magical golden assault. "This is... probably gonna be close." [Yuri succeeds and feels a burst of power as she does so. How does she try to employ it?] * Yuri pulls it in and focuses it into her exorcism. Wider, more powerful. [The second beetle is caught up in the exorcism as the first vanishes. Yuri gets one exorcism level and one extra target.] [Maggie!] * Marguerite turns to the second beetle and continues! * Yuri exhales slowly and smiles a little. "Funny, that it's you and me holding the spiritual line." [The second beetle is now near transparent. Breaker tries to grapple the third beetle. God's one funny fuck. [She somehow manages to seize the third one as it ineffectually attempts to grasp her neck.] [Yuri.] * Yuri shifts her attention to the third and lets the exorcism fly! She steps forward as she does so. [She's got it and it begins to vanish.] [Maggie!] * Marguerite has quit IRC (Read error: Connection reset by peer ) * Tamori_Risa has joined #sab2020 * Tamori_Risa is now known as Marguerite (You're up.) [The second one faded at the end of Yuri's turn. This third one is fading fast and seems a little weaker than the first two.]] * Marguerite turns to the last one and slams it. [Gone, Breaker's holding nothing.] Whew. * Marguerite tucks away her book and cross. "Gimme that old time religion, hey? Jesus fuck." So where's this thing you're looking for? * Yuri shakes her head. "You and Jesus have a fucked-up relationship, Maggie." [There's more voices outside. They seem to be trying to talk one another up into entering. Not much success yet. Hey, he's cute enough in the paintings. * Marguerite walks forward. * Breaker snickers. "Never thought of it like that. And, if I try hard, I never will.] [Marguerite gets to the far wall.] * Yuri walks there too. "Not a concern of mine." [Visual awareness checks.] * Marguerite pushes on the wall. "Hey, you don't get laid for long enough, and you'll start a pining for holy dick too." [Maggie notices that a thin edge around the sun the beetles exited through. Might be removable.] * Marguerite slams hard into the sun. [The stone shifts back some, but still blocks you.] [Someone takes a potshot into the temple with his AK. Nowhere close. * Marguerite frowns. "Can't fry it, might fry the artifact, fucking thing, hate temples. Why couldn't it have been snakes." * Marguerite leaps up and tries again. * Yuri looks at Maggie hitting the wall and goes, "Okay, I can handle hitting rocks, you know." [No affect] [Another potshot, little closer, but not too close. Does some damage to the temple though.[ Alright, you take a whack at it.. * Yuri takes a grip on the wall and leaps upward, before kicking the thing in. Hopefully. Pow! [With her ability to jump and strength, that's automatically successful.] (POW) ... alright, then. [The sun falls back into a crawl space. It tilts down into another room. It's about a thirty degree angle down. * Marguerite jumps up and in! * Yuri lands on the floor and picks up her robe. "All part of the training." She starts putting it on as she follows. [The next room is smaller and completely dark. Yuri, give me a sixth sense roll.] [There's something powerful on the far side of the room. It's slowly waking.] [Seems like there's some material between you and it though.] * Yuri says, deciding to leave the robe undone after all, "Uh, Maggie, there's definitely a powerful guard left in here." How big? I mean, are we talking "Flame the room", or are we talking actually having to think about this? I don't think it's that BIG, just... powerful. We talking a mummy in a sarcophogus here? Also, remind me to buy a flashlight. Fuckin' A. If it's in a sarcophagus, we can light that on fire. I guess that would light things up. [Second sixth sense check, Yuri.] * Yuri frowns. "Gimme a sec." [You note there's also another weaker presence in the room. But that's it.] * Yuri drops the robes off her shoulder and starts exorcising at the big one. Hopefully that's enough light for them to see. [The room briefly lights up. Sure enough at the far end there's a sarcophogus. In the middle, there's a high pedestal with a dull octagonal rock at the top of a spiked display. Scattered on the ground are three mirrors. Each gives a dim reflection of you guys.] [Visual awareness checks.] [There's a growl from the sarcophogus. Doesn't exit yet though.] [Yuri notices the three reflections don't quite match up.] * Yuri frowns, still glowing. "The mirrors... they're off. Different reflections." Weird. [And renew that exorcism check, assuming you're still trying.] [Anyone wanting to look closer can make another spot check.] * Breaker walks over to one and stares at it. "I don't see you guys. Also, who puts mirrors in a room with no light?" [One reflects you guys as normal. One reflects Yuri with a holstered gun, Breaker with some blood splatter but seeming otherwise fine, and Maggie mostly as is. The final one has no Breaker but Yuri has a more intent look and tattoos for banishment standing over a collapsed mummy. Maggie has a suitcase full of money and the lense of Ra.] * Yuri seems startled, but manages to hold the exorcism attempt. "I don't like it. I don't like it at all. It's... like it shows other times." * Breaker glances around. "I don't see any torch holders--shit!" Weird-ass... what? [The Mummy throws off the lid to it's sarcophogus, smashing it against a far wall.] [Init] ... whoa. (its) [Maggie, Mummy, Breaker, Yuri.] * Marguerite whips out the book and cross again. "Time to get biblical." [Maggie manages to hold the creature in place for the moment. However, it does stand up.] * Breaker preps for an attack if it breaks free. "We should probably get this lense and get out. In all the movies, these guys did not go down easy." * Yuri says, "Hey, feel free." She gives it another suppression shot and whispers, "Who were you?" * Marguerite keeps up the exorcism. "Go hunt for it. We can get him down if he gets free." .... yeah, clear as fuckin' mud. [The mummy continues to growl. Breaker scampers up to the platform. "What's this thing supposed to be?" [Yuri] It's a lens. A holy lens. Everything here is stone. * Yuri replies, holding exorcism, * Mummy ponders that. (And renew your check YUri) [This time the Mummy resists, but it's still held by Maggie for the moment.] [Go figure.] * Marguerite keeps up the exporcism What the shit's he saying?> [The Mummy just barely manages to break through of Maggie's exorcism. Breaker leaps at the creature to hold it in place for now. He's talking about the Light of Ra being necessary to open the eye. Everyone elese gets cursed. * Yuri frowns. "Wish I knew more Egyptian mythology." What the crap is the light of Ra? I've got a shitton of light. * Yuri replies, slightly annoyed, "Well, besides the SUN, I don't know." * Mummy manages to dodge Breaker's attack and slams to the side of the sarcophogus. She groans for a moment but then gets up. "That the best you've got?" [Yuri] Yuri, I carry a plasma weapon. It IS the fucking sun! JUst don't melt the damn thing. * Yuri tries to re-gain the exorcism grip. "Yeah. Just go ahead and show him yours." [The Mummy is exorcised again. Breaker stands and looks grateful.] * Marguerite swaps out the book for Bubba and warms it up. "This good enough, Shambles?" (Hold action) * Yuri says, "Okay, good guess." Beat, then in a quieter voice, thoughtful, "He says... pick one of the three images." What? What'd he moan out? (Shift that slightly.) Oh. Can we pick the one where I've got a ton of cash? I mean, if we're changing reality, can I make a few bucks? Which one was that? * Breaker's on fulld defense for now, she doesn't want to get hit again. * Yuri frowns and replies, "The one you aren't in." She looks between them. [Only one shows the money. All three now show the lens.[ No, you guys aren't in one, I'm in all... oh, right, magic. Sorry. * Yuri frowns and points at the one Breaker's not in for her. "What do you look like in that one?" [The lens glows brightest in the normal one, for the record.] * Breaker walks over to look at it. "I'm stronger." * Breaker laughs as she looks closer. "And I can see in the dark. My eyes are different. Maybe that is the one to pick. You two won't always be here for me." * Yuri is silent a moment, then asks, * Yuri is silent a split second, then, "Maggie, how much power are you needing for this? All of it?" [You begin to hear speech from the first room. It appears they've overcome their fears.] Out of the Eye? All I can get. And we better hurry. * Yuri bites her lip, looks at the second one, then closes her eyes and points at the first as she says, "Shoot that one." * Breaker walks over to look at the second image. "You've got your gun back in this one. Looks like Maggie's got a few more bookmarks in her bible too. Are you sure?" * Yuri replies, shakily, "No." [The Eye of Ra continues to glow brightest in the first one.] [The chatter is now right under the passage you took in. There's some talk of grenades.] * Yuri reopens her eyes and says, "Look, I want him back, alright? But... we didn't come here for me. That's not how it works." (+angrily, +at Breaker.) ... right, whatever. * Marguerite shoots the first one, because she has no idea what's going on. [Attack roll.] * Breaker bares her teeth. "Don't snap at me. I'm you're second. Three is obviously the evil but cool one." (your) I was just trying to look out--- * Yuri swallows and replies, "I reali--" [And the light from the plasma shines in all directions from the mirror, including the octagonal stone on top of the pedestal. It suddenly glows brightly as a grenade bounces in from outside. Breaker grabs the eye.] Walk! * Marguerite runs! * Yuri walks! [And the three of you reappear on the third level of the pagaoda. Everyone gets the benefits of a nights rest. Yuri sadly picked up no mummy curse because she stopped too soon. Do make your curse reroll though.] * Breaker hands the Eye to Maggie. "Here you go." * Marguerite takes it. "Hey, thanks. Free 'port's not bad either. * Yuri looks to the Eye and then closes her eyes again and wraps her hands around herself, statue in one. "Sure," she says, quietly. "No... problem..." [And Kristof to your East. Raleigh to your South. And a painting of WIll in Prison cell in the North East Corner.] [End!]
