[Current situation: Red's missed from the copter, Arktos knocked a werewolf down off the church, Roy is going to keep down the wolfies, Maggie is rushing to the building, Kurt is going for rooftops, and Kahyla is going with Maggie] [Roy's position in init (don't start yet, I still need to upload the new map)] [ http://sab.zort.net/images/wolf_village-numbered.jpg ] [The APC parked between buildings 5 and 9] [The small pack of werewolves, its numbers depleted by Red's sniping, rushed into building 6, which has the look of a small restuarant (seating 20-25)] [Building 5 that the werewolf was knocked off of is a church with slanted roof, hence the rolling off the roof] [Building 7 is a small tourist bureau, buildings 3 and 4 are houses/shops.] [All the architecture is Victorian, looks fairly friendly normally, most of the income seems to be made off of tourists. You'd suspect people in unrelated industries live out of town.] [Start] [Roy's turn] * Roy floats over to the second wolf, administering the shot to it quickly and switching out for his third injector. [Downed wolves (now both injected) are between 5 and 10. The wolf that rolled off the roof after Arktos knocked it down is between 4 and 5] [There's two on the roof of building 10, which from the back looks like a rather large house (relatively).] [Maggie's turn] * Retrieving #sab2020 modes... * Marguerite runs for the door of the diner, either slams into it with her shoulder or throws it open with her unweaponed hand, levels her gun at the nearest werewolf's legs, and goes for a takedown. [There's two wolves in sight, facing the door, I'll say she shoots for the closer one.] [I'll say +2 for leg shots, as they've got four of them] [Actual descrip...] [Maggie pulls the door open and charges in, there's a half dozen tables and an appropriate number of chairs, bathroom and kitchen both seem to be down a hallway to the left.] [The place would have a nice traditional atmosphere if it wasn't trashed, well different kind of tradition I suppose. There's a few wall lights on which allow for dusk vision levels. (So range of more than a meter or so I'll apply penalties unless you've got darkvision)] [Presently two wolves are clearly visible growling towards the door. One black, one grey] [The grey wolf groans as its left front leg gives out and the wolf drops to the flower, howling in pain. The wound seems to be actively festering, doesn't look like it'll get up soon.] [Kurt!] ~One down in the diner. I'll try to lure the others out, Red.~` * Kurt goes straight up to the rooftops, looking around for a wolf to pound. [Kurt sees two on the roof of building 10, the at very least rather large house (relatively speaking)] ~Roger that, Maggie.~ You can practically hear her grinning as she says it. ~contact on the rooftops, out of communication for a sec.~ * Kurt grins widely at the two werewolves and goes for it! [Kurt leaps to the roof of building nine and easily ascends to building ten, the wolves look up at him as he moves into the attack.] Howdy, boys! * Kurt runs in at speed, seeming almost to teleport to just in front of one wolf, foot lashing out in a powerful charging kick. [Kurt's foot digs into the wolf's quite tough skin (<-hint ;P), and knocks it back, it scampers as it falls down the roof, but manages to regain it's footing before it falls off. The wolf is bleeding, but still in fighting condition apparently.] [Kahyla!] * Kahlya pushes in behind Maggie into the diner, her scythe held out in front of her as she turns her head from side to side, listening and looking for anything suspicious (besides the obvious wolves). * Kahlya takes a quick assessment of the situation and dashes forward, flashing her scythe out with the actual bladed edge towards her so it takes the wooden handle part in the gut. * Kahlya then follows through, flying towards one of the overturned tables, grinning just slightly. If it were brighter you'd see the tips of her fangs but hey. "I see you." She takes slash at the hiding wolf's legs. [The black wolf grunts as it's thrown back towards the far end of the restaurant by the blow, although that isn't too much of a journey and it quickly slams into the back wall. It looks a bit dazed and not in the best shape, but lands on its feet.] [The second wolf gets it's hind legs slashed, and it howls as the collapse beneath it.] [Wolves!] * Kahlya pulls herself up and speaks over to Maggie, whether sets or outloud. "There's more in the kitchen. And be careful, there's some humans still around here I think." We're in here to lure them out, not take 'em down ourselves. * Kahlya pouts. "Oh fine. Well you shot one down, why can't I take one?" [The black wolf Kahyla knocks into the wall leaps forward at Maggie, landing in front of the grey wolf while baring it's teeth. Fortunately the pain seems to be affecting it so it stumbles on the landing.] [The wolf Kahyla attacked behind the table stops howling as it turns itself around using its front legs, it then tries biting up at her. Defense roll Kahyla -4 bonus from hovering and wolf not in jumping condition] * Marguerite steps back from the black wolf, eyeing it carefully. [The wolf Kurt hit sniffs at the air and then looks away from Kurt, leaping down by one of the fallen wolfs. It swings it claws at the shadows and they pull back, but not quite enough to avoid being scratched.] [The other wolf on the roof growls and leaps towards Kurt, claws extended. Defense roll Kurt!] * Kurt is torn apart in a shower of cotton fluff. [Kahlya avoids the attack and the wolf snaps at the air. Meanwhile Kurt doll, we barely knew thee.] [Roy's turn out of init, cause he has to go!] * Kahlya watches as the wolf snaps under her and hmms. "Not very smart, are ya?" * Wolf doesn't provide a snappy comeback. [The wolf that attacked the shadows falls, its back ripped open, spine broken. With the blood, you can't tell if it's healing at the moment.] ~I've been hit, returning to the APC.~ [Red's turn!] ~Go. I'll staple it.~ ~Bloody hell. Someone just did a number on that one. Kurt, you want a hand with yours?~ ~That was one of mine, actually. I'm fine.~ ~Alright then.~ [The other wolf that had been on the roof of building 10 is hit by something and then collapses, it starts to roll off the roof but gets stuck on a jutted window. [Drew!] ~This is Drew, am I too late for the party?~ ~Not if you've got serum with you.~ ~Heh, where did you think they got the idea? I'm incoming from the west, but don't have a gun.~ ~Drew? Never too late to join the party. You been briefed?~ ~There's untreated wolves around. Red'll have to fill you in, I'm a bit busy.~ ~Uh. Well, I don't have a gun either. Just make sure you can take care of yourself, whoever you are.~ ~I'll be fine, just don't hit me by mistake.~ ~By mistake? What, you a wolf too?~ ~Yeah, but these ones stay on all fours, right?~ ~I'd be just chuffed if you could take out the wolves that are near the APC, though. One on the ground rather neatly eviscerated, and one on a nearby roof, neatly tranqed. ~If you're a jumper, Drew, the large house near the center of town has an untreated on it. If not, there's another in an alley I can talk you into.~ ~I can treat the down ones or bodyguard. Whatever helps most.~ ~Take the downed ones, I've got a couple more to see to before they get inside.~ ~Take the downed. We can take care of ourselves.~ * Drew runs in on 4 feet. He is approaching along the road, and looks like a greyish wolf-human hybrid. More than the hostiles, at least. ~At least they've employed other lycanthropes.~ [Arktos!] ~"Red", where should I go?~ * Arktos seems to blur, appearing almost instantaneously on the roof of building 10, injector in hand. He kneels down to deliver the serum. * Red babbles directions to the wolf in the alley. [Maggie! And everyone in the restuarant give me a non-sight sight sense of choice check, +4 penalty, HA counts] [You don't hear or smell nothing. Still Maggie.] ~Be careful gettin' there, too, Drew. There's a wrecked lorry on the way there what's got traffic backed up like mad. This has been Red, yer Eye in the Sky.~ * Marguerite drops her aim and goes for the leg of the black one, too. "Share and share alike, fellas." ~Good thing I brought a tow truck.~ ~Yes. You clearly realize how traffic can get in a big city like this.~ [Maggie almost whifs by the black wolf, but it was skitish and leaped into the path of the bullet, the wolf toppeled as it hit and ended up on the ground, apparently out cold.] [Kurt!] * Kurt plummets from the sky towards the wolf what bit Roy, but at the last minute reaches out with an arm, grabs hold of a projecting second story window on that house, and swings back up, catapulting back into the sky. There's a flash of light as his hand ignites into bright flame, then he falls down past the other side of the house at a werewolf there. * Kurt reaches out with his burning hand and grabs the wolf's face as he makes contact, taking the wolf on a nice ride across the street, the hard way. [None of you actually see that connection because building 10 blocks it, although Red does see the wolf skid to building 14. Which is a cottage.] [Kitchen wolves!] ~Good God, Kurt.~ ~It's good to be a ninja.~ ~Kurt flexing his muscles?~ ~And how.~ ~I tell ya, though, wolf fur smells NASTY when it burns.~ [At this point the door to the other part of the restaurant is knocked off its hinges as a wolf tears through, that one makes a leap for Kahlya before it regains its and misses landing on the far side of the wall.] ~And I missed it? Next--ack.~ ~Don't know if we can flush out these wolves for you, Red. Might have to take them in .... FUCK!~ * Kahlya swishes her head to the side and watches the wolf fly past. "Uh. Incoming?" [After that blondish wolf, the next two, one brown and on black bound out afterwards, one leaps up using the askance table to claw at Kahlya while the other leaps straight for her. Two defense rolls!] [Kahlya dodges both impressively, she can describe if she likes.] [Kahlya's turn subsequently.] [And for the record, the wolf Kurt hit is downed and on fire.] [Doesn't look badly hurt for the record, not like the one Roy took down.] * Kahlya weaves out of the first way of the first wolf's claws and then stands back up only to have her scythe up to catch the wolf as it bites down on the handle. "Um. Look, you guys need to wait your turn." She swivels around with the scythe aiming for the side of the first wolf's head with the side of her blade and then swivels around to catch the other one by the feet. [Kahyla's blade flies right past the brown one's head, but she regains control and knocks out the legs of the blackone, which lands on the floor with a crash.] [Other wolves!] [The earlier grey wolf in the restuarant keeps wimpering on the floor and the earlier black wolf is still out cold, although its earlier injuries are rapidly healing.] ~Guys, we seriously need some help inside with suppression. Can't fight and inject at the same time.~ [The one that Kahlya took down in the previous round pushes itself up one paw while using the other to send a chair flying through the air at the floating girl.] ~Arktos, Drew, go, Red and I will take care of cleanup.~ [Dodge roll Kahyla.] [The one only Kurt sees that stayed up decides it is more interested in entering the building than the ninja for the moment and finishes ripping a whole in the solid oak doors and scoots inside the hotel.] ...oh, you did NOT just leave me in favor of whatever's in there. [Kahyla tries to dodge swiftly to the right but she's not fast enough and the chair slams into her and knocks her up the roof of the restuarant, fortunately that's only a foot away and it doesn't hurt all *that* bad.] [Red!] * Kahlya oofs and looks down on the wolves. She's still got a firm grip on her scythe though. "You ought to be ashamed, ganging up on a poor girl." [The wolf's don't seem to take her rejoinder to heart. The chair tossing wolf seems almost to be smiling, particular because it's legs are looking better.] * Marguerite is frowning! Frown. [Drew! Arktos up after him] * Drew streaks out from the alley and into the diner. Almost before anyone knows what is going on, one of the werewolves has been shoved out the opposite door of where Drew just entered. [We'll say that's the blond one who had been previously uninjured.] [And the door isn't quite opposite, as the opposite door would open out to the cliff, but Drew manages to push him back into the kitchen for now.] [Arktos!] [Alley wolf is now downed, for the record.] * Arktos blurs once more, this time appearing in the diner next to Kahlya and drawing his sword for a quick strike at the untouched brown wolf. ~ Kahyla, you shoot up one downed wolf, I'll get the ones near me.~ [The wolf is knocked back against a rear window and is cut open and has singed floor. Doesn't quite topple out of the building yet.] [Maggie!] [Current situation in restaurant recap] [Two wolves with festering leg injuries near Maggie, one conscious, one not.] [Four wolves near Kahlya, one pushed to the kitchen by Drew, one out cold hanging in a window, two with injured legs though one of those is almost better.] ~Gotcha. Make sure you get both of them.~ [Still Maggie's turn.] * Marguerite leaps for the conscious wolf, pulling out an injector as she does so. [Overall situation recap: Currently there's one wolf with spine cut in the main street, one burning wolf near Kurt, one in the building Kurt now sees labeled as a hotel. All other wolfs are in the restaurant or downed.] [The suffering on the whimpering grey wolf is cut off as it falls asleep.] [Kurt! Next: Kitchen wolves, then Kahlya!] * Kurt runs into the hotel after the wolf and starts searching. ~Red, keep an eye on those two downed ones, ya?~ [-4 sense of choice roll. HA counts] ~Will do.~ [Kurt rushes into the lobby, he notices a heavy bar on the door, that the wolves dug around. There's a dining room to his right and a closed door to his left. In front of him is a counter that's quite a mess and an ajar door behind that.] * Kurt hops over the counter and goes through the door in a rush, ready for anything. [Gimme that speed roll again Kurt, speed's still a -4 bonus / level.] [Kurt gets to the backroom which is a separate residence, quite nice, he can see an office, a fairly intimate dining room, and a bedroom... more important...] * Kurt goes for the bedroom. [In the bedroom he sees a man lying on the ground with a bleeding arm. The wolf is standing over him and is starting to turn around to attack the woman standing between it and Kurt, who is beating the wolf with a shiny metallic candlestick.] * Kurt goes for the wolf. "Don't you DARE ignore me, sucka!" * Kurt goes straight across the bed without stopping and slams bodily into the wolf, hurling him backward, then plants his foot straight through the drywall next to the wolf's head. [The wolf gets knocked back to the wall and seems to be fairly dizzy, as it starts to get up again, the woman konks it on the head with the candle stick one more time and it falls down.] [Kitchen Wolves!] [The blond wolf tries to scratch at Drew, but is being held to tightly by his grapple.] [The unconscious wolf stays unconscious.] [The remaining wolf (whose still limping) tries to knock a table at Arktos and Kahlya, but misjudges the mass and it flies wide, there's an unconscious looking woman with claw marks on her legs and a rather old man who is unconscious but with no apparent injuries.] [Kahyla!] [Remaining wolves and then Red on deck.] [Restaurant recap: Two wolves with healing legs near Kahyla, one hasn't gone yet. One wolf grappled by Drew, one wolf unconscious hanging in the window, one would safely under thanks to Maggie, another wolf currently out cold by Maggie.] [** Kurt in the hotel begins here ] * Kahlya looks over at the table and then pulls out one of the injectors. She jams it at the wolf near the window then whirls around with her scythe at the black wolf. [The brown wolf, that hadn't gone yet and had quickly healing legs, is knocked back most of the half way through the restaurant and has a new gash.] [The one in the window passes out.] (err, black) [Remaining wolves] [The black one that had just been knocked about gets up on its wobbling legs and makes a dash through the window, yelping as it gets out and tumbles down the cliff, falling behind building two and out of sight for Red (though if the helicopter moves that's fixable.] [The remaining wolf by Maggie wakes up and starts trying to move, but the festering wounds on its legs prevent keep it on the ground.] * Kahlya looks over at the black wolf and scratches her cheek with her index finger. "Okay, if that wolf got hurt by falling down the cliff, it's totally not my fault." [Red's helicopter comes in over the shore, still a few hundred meters up, but now above the parking lot, rather than the English Channel. [The wolf which had been laying behind building two is now safely tranqed.] [Drew!] [Drew is still grappling a blond wolf whose being held in the kitchen.] ~Kurt, after you finish administering shots to the puppies, I have some buildings you should prolly check out. Unless yer wanna give the others a hand.~ ~Depends, how they doing?~ ~Maggie, what's yer situation?~ [Arktos, you're up next, ask any questions now.] * Drew struggles with the werewolf that he grappled into the kitchen. Spying a side exit, Drew succeeds in showing his dance partner outside for some fresh air. By showing, I mean shoving. ^_^ [Arktos!] ~Red, a lovely lady is set for a good night kiss by the side of the diner~ ~We're doing a-okay. A little trouble with the furniture though.~ ~Better now, assuming there's not a dozen more in here.~ Oh, I'm sure I would've heard 'em by now. Don't jinx it. I'm on my way to the main room now. ~I'm on it, Drew. And since you are doing so well...~ ~Kurt, the dock warehouse and the local constabulatory station both show signs of lots of recent movement near their entrances.~ ~Which one's furthest from where Mags is?~ [Local constabulatory station is building 16, Kurt's real nearby.] ~The station. It's the only building in town with closed doors; I'm hoping we have some non-lycans holed up inside and somehow holding their own.~ ~Likely not the case, but that's my hope.~ ~Lead the way, operator.~ * Red directs Kurt to the right building. * Marguerite looks around. ~I'll head to the warehouse. It's locked up here.~ ~Gotcha, Maggie. Be careful - that one's wide open, so there could be plenty of puppies hiding inside.~ * Arktos dashes over, lashing out with the reddish ball on the pommel of his sword. [Arktos hits it with the blunt end of his sword, the wolf gets knocked into a wall.] [And is unconscious.] [Right, so Maggie, you leaving?] * Marguerite nods. "Make sure to stick 'em." She runs! [It'll take about half a minute to get down to the warehouse. I'll make it 20 seconds if you make a body (speed) roll.] [Kurt reaches the outside of the hotel, and sees the wolf still on fire, twitching a little by building 14. He can also easily see the constabulatory. [Blond wolf ineffectually claws at Drew, the brown unconscious wolf's legs finish healing, but he's stil out cold.] [Kahyla!] * Kahlya takes out two of the injectors, one in her free hand, one in the same hand as the scythe. She jams one into the brown wolf first then rushes over to inject the one near Maggie. [The two go down and stay down. [And then with a shot from Red, the blond one in Drew's arms collapses into sleep.] [Kurt, go ahead and take your turn now while everyone else works out where they're going.] ~I'll join you at the warehouse~ * Kurt crosses the street and spikes the burning wolf, then heads for the police station. ~Arktos, the one that Roy downed is still waiting for a spiking, can you stop by on your way to the cop shop?~ (Kurt, sense of choice roll, HA counts) ~Done.~ [Kurt notices well before he reaches the twitching burning wolf that it's a good deal more conscious than he'd prefer.] Well, fuck. * Kurt slams a foot down on that fucker's gut to shut it the hell up. [Wolf goes down.] * Kurt spikes that sumbitch. "Stay down this time, bitch." [Wolf stays down, although he'll need a biology check to know whether bitch is in fact an accurate descriptor.] [Going with warehouse in the channel] [** Police Station log begins here] * Marguerite is running! * Kahlya looks around and pulls up her scythe. ~Don't see any more here. How boring. I'm heading to the police station the long way. See if I hear anything.~ She makes sure all the wolves are injected before she heads out the door. [ ** Kahlya as a house guest begins here ] [Right, Maggie's most of the way down when Drew catches up, but he's moving a lot faster.] ~Slow down, we don't wanna go in charging.~ * Drew slows down enough to keep pace with Margie [The two of you get down there about ten seconds later. Hearing/smell checks.] [You get down there, the door is a bit ajar, and its completely dark inside.] * Marguerite frowns. "Gimme a sec." She roots in her satchel. Quite a few in there, both kinds Human and lyco? That's what I smell * Drew shrugs (I'll allow roll again, for trying to get more details) * Marguerite pulls out two metal devices and clips them on to the gun, and then pulls a few flares out of her satchel as well. "Gotcha. You don't smell anythin' flammable, do ya?" (Adding laser sight (-1) and night vision scope (Nightvision)) Besides me, and possibly you? * Drew sniffs again. Meant more like gunpowder. Or oil. These flares'll set it off. Wait, there's a lot more humans than wolves here * Marguerite scowls. "Well, shit. We'll have to be careful, then." ~Red, we're about to enter the warehouse. Keep that eye in the sky on us, huh?~ I don't smell anything flammable, though. [You aren't sure where the helicopter is, just yet.] * Marguerite nods. "Good to go, then." She pops the flare and tosses it through the cracked door! Then slams into it with her hip, leading with her gun. (Yay, gun!) [Right, so the flares...] [The room lights up, there's the outline of some machinery in the distance, as well as crates and barrels. ...] [Near the door she can see three lycans, they back off when the flare lands, for now.] [There's also a lot of humans, well, you think they're all still human, some are on the ground.] * Marguerite spins and goes for the nearest wolf's knees! [Maggie, Drew, wolves] [Maggie!] * Marguerite goes for a kneecap. (2d8-7 due to the laser sight.) [One wolf falls and is fairly crippled but still up.] [Drew's turn!] [Drew successfully grapples one of the remaining wolves.] [Drew doesn't get scratched by his quarry, but the remaining wolf leaps at Maggie. Defense roll!] * Maggie gets cut, her armour almost manages to resist the claws, but isn't quite heavy enough, she's also knocked back by the force of the blow. Body roll to not fall over. * Maggie lands flat on her back. [Maggie's turn] * Marguerite squints a little and goes for the remaining wolf's legs. [The remaining wolf goes down.] * Drew successfully subdues the one he's holding, although it takes some squeezing and careful clawing. * Marguerite injects the wolves, then checks her scratch carefully. "Shit. Way too close." She takes a swig out of her hip flask, and proceeds to carefully approach the humans. [Maggie is bleeding some from the scratch though nothing life threatening, although mostly she hurts from being throwing.] [Wolf's are down, humans are a pretty sorry looking lot, all seem cut or bit, and a couple seem to be in the early phases on transformation.] * Marguerite goes about, administering serum to those who aren't growly and snarly, saving those for last if there are any. * Drew assists in these efforts. - Apparently they set up the warehouse as one big incubator. ~ ~ Scratched by werewolf. Everyone's been shot up with serum except me. I'll have to wait till we're done here.~
