[September 19, 2020 1400 GMT.] [Some time after finishing the mission, we find Yvonne sitting at an internet cafe, writing her report. What happened to looking for a hawt person? Nobody knows!] [Start!] * Yvonne sits in front of a computer, resting her head on her elbows and her elbows on the table, and chewing on an ink pen. * Saldin walks out from a door behind thee counter, and quickly apologizes to the poor desk jockey who can't figure out how he got back there. He sure knows how to make an entrance. * Yvonne blinks a few times, yawns, then types some letters. *tap tap tap*. About three. Then she stops and sips some coffee. * Saldin eventually gets away from the desk man and looks around, confused. All these computers. * Yvonne happens to look up at just that time. She grins and waves and probably bounces too. "Saldiiiin! Hi!" * Saldin blinks and smiles warmly. "Yvonne, hello. We seem to be running into eachother quite a bit recently." Yeah! It must be destiny! * Saldin smiles a little and says, "Yes. So, what are you doing here?" * Yvonne grins. "I'm writing that report we're supposed to do! Look!" She points the computer screen to him: "Yvonne Mozzarella's report on The templerz" That's all she has written. * Saldin looks at the screen carefully. It takes him a second, then he says, "Templars, Yvonne." He spells it out and pauses after doing so. Huh? Oh! * Yvonne fixes it. 'templars.' "There." * Saldin nods, and then says, "I was just hoping I could tell them. I suppose not." Nope! I don't think. I mean, if we could, I'd do that. I'm sure they'd like that. * Yvonne giggles. * Saldin makes a soft mming noise. "Well, I suppose I should... er... write one too, then." * Yvonne grins. "We can both write one! * Saldin looks at her silendly for a second, then says, "Yes, that is what I said. We will both need one." * Yvonne pokes a few keys. "Yvonne Mozzarella's and salad qian's report on The templars". "There!" * Saldin smiles, gently saying, "Sal-din, Yvonne, and shouldn't my name be capitalized?" Huh? Uhhh.... I guess if you want, sure. * Yvonne fixes it. "Yvonne Mozzarella's and Saldin Qian's report on The tem" ... "Should I capitalize their name too? I don't get these things." * Saldin nods. "Yes." Ok! * Yvonne does that. Let's see.... * Yvonne startes pecking- er.... typing the report. "First, we used the computers in the lieberry too look up sum stuff on the Templars. We discovered that u can use 'search terms' to make it easier to use the internet..." * Saldin gently points out typing mistakes as she goes along. He must have infifnite patience. * Yvonne is glad Saldin has infinite mistakes, because she makes infinite errors. "SMEE (that's still a dum name) had an article on the Templars. They said the X-men were better, and that the Templars might have a hidden agenda." * Saldin leans over Yvonne's shoulder for this whole time, pretty much. He says, after correcting the typos, "I... the X-men are not a real group, right?" Ummm.... I dunno. We better leave it in, just in case they show up. ... I suppose that is true. * Yvonne adds, "And the Templars don't send guest Speakers to SMEE when they ask for them." * Saldin nods along with the report. * Yvonne pecks, "Then, there wuz a site for Peter Jibralter's (sp?) Group. It talked about what the Templars's had obligations to do (since they've all got powers), and whether they had a hidden agenda." * Saldin corrects the spellings, including saying, "Gibraltar, like the rock." He smiles very faintly at that. Oh! I've been there once! * Yvonne giggles. "Heee! That was a night to remember." * Yvonne types. "Next we sumhow went to India (we were supposed to go to Candyland. It was disappointing). Oh, and Jonathan came too. He ran into the room as we were leaving." * Yvonne continues: "There was an old mansion that was British or Asian or both there. But they had this advanced technology or something 'cause they knew we were coming (Jon said he heard them talking on his microphone thing)." * Saldin looks over at Yvonne oddly at her night to remember comment, but just has to shrug it away. "Before they went dead, Jon mentioned a woman named Kagiso owned the place, and thought it was an African name. * Yvonne ponders, then adds: "(They didn't really die. They just stopped talking)." * Saldin chuckles very faintly. "Jon said something about them saying something about 'perimeter security', and that we weren't supposed to be there. But Saldin said the Universe always told him where he had to be, and if the Universe wanted us to be there, we were supposed to be there, so he was wrong." * Saldin blinks, then says, "Jon was correct in one sense, but not in the other." Huh? We were not... allowed to be there. They didn't want us there. That is what he meant. Oh! * Yvonne fixes: "The Universe wanted us to be there, they didn't." "The door was opened by this hawt Indian girl in funny clothes." "But she wouldn't let us in when Saldin asked." * Saldin looks at her spelling of hawt and says, "Don't you mean 'hot'? H o t?" Uh... Ok. * Yvonne replaces that. "She said something about zen and privacy and was gonna close the door when Jon asked for the name of the place. She wouldn't tell us, so Jon got all hissy and said the public wouldn't like that, and she didn't care." "Then Jon started off on this crazy conspiracy theory which I thought made no sense, but it made the hot girl mad. So I told her we weren't with him; we were there 'cause the Universe wanted us to be. But she didn't care about that either." "And so I tried to explain to her that we came a long way and asked her to let us in, but then Jon went and made her even more angry, so she closed the door." * Saldin nods along. "Very nice." Happy smile. "After that, Jon and Saldin wanted to give up. But not me! I didn't come all the way to India to get kicked off of someone's front porch because of a stupid misunderstanding. So I knocked on the door again and again. But they wouldn't answer. I was gonna keep doing it, but Saldin said they were getting mad, so I stopped. And we went somewhere else." * Saldin nods and interjects, "They said they 'Wanted us gone'. Forcefully. I do not imagine it would have been pleasant." Hmmm... "So next we wound up in the Chunnel. There was a lot of water in there. And we heard people talking. It was Ms. Lonava and Ms. Creepy Bodyguard Woman that hangs around her. * Saldin says, "Edge. The bodyguard's name is Edge." Oh, right! * Yvonne adds that. Edge. * Yvonne adds: "She pointed a weapon at me. She was very on Edge." * Yvonne giggles at her pun. * Yvonne adds, "But they were a lot nicer once we told them we didn't wanna fight." * Saldin nods. "You should also mention that they were worried about the EU's betrayal if they finished too soon when we arrived." "So then we did some talking! Mostly Jonathan at first. He asked them why they were doing the work beoh good idea." Uh... I mean oh, good idea. * Yvonne adds that in and fixes her mistake. * Yvonne rehashes: "Right, so... They were worried that the EU wouldn't keep its dea... should I really add this? I mean that just adds suspicion, doesn't it? * Yvonne makes up her mind before Saldin can answer. "I guess I should." * Saldin blinks. "Well--" he nods. "They were worried that the EU wouldn't keep its deal if they finished the work first." "So then Jonathan asked them why they were doing the work by themselves." * Yvonne thinks. "Did they ever answer? I don't think they did." They said Jonathan was unusual, but that was obvious. * Saldin mms. "I'm not sure." My mind was elsewhere. I think they were just doing the work because Ms. Lonava was good at it. * Yvonne adds, "They never answered Jonathan; they were talking about how he was a weird reporter. But they were probably doing it because Lonava has those water powers." * Yvonne puts in: "Jonathan said he knew someone who could help Lonava, but wouldn't say who it was. I dunno if he meant with the tunnel or with more than that." * Saldin nods. "I would say it's something more, but Jonathan can explain that himself.' * Yvonne nods. She adds: "Saldin votes for something more." "Saldin mentioned Breaker and asked why the Templars wanted to train her. Ms. Lonava said for two reasons:" * Saldin nods. "To teach her that she is free to live a life of her choosing, and that solely being extraplanar is not reason enough to judge someone." * Yvonne nods and adds that. * Saldin mms, then shakes his head. "They can make their own judgements." "At this point I tried to get her to mention who she was going to put in the lineup for the Templars, but Jonathan's a doodoo head and kept trying to change the subject." * Saldin chuckles a little. "Perhaps you can leave your opinion on Jonathon out. After all, he isn't the subject of the report. No! I coulda - maybe - got more from her if not for him! * Yvonne adds "big" in front of doodoo head. * Saldin eyes the report, and then shrugs. "I did not mean not saying that he kept changing the subject. Simply that the... nature of his head may be extraneous." Hmmm.... You're right. * Yvonne adds "fat" after big. ... "And he kept doing it until I told him to knock it off, at which point he went to sulk in the corner." "So I didn't get her to tell us who was gonna be in the tournament. But I did get her to talk about the other teams! The one she's worried about the most is Peter Gibralter's group. Especially that guy named Mak." "According to her, Mak can remote control sacred objects, which he likes to use offensively. That could be bad for some people." * Saldin gets back in the nod of things. "I asked her about SMEE next. She said that they didn't like the Templars because they're not superheroes. And that they're not known for their standing forces, so they'd probably hire help. I guess they'd hire supernaturals, since they're SMEE and all..." * Saldin nods. "Yes, yes." "I then asked about the origin of her organization. Why she chose the Templar name and all. She said she only recently became head of the organization, and kept the name so it made it harder to investigate the organization. When I pointed out that this made it harder for supernaturals who wanted to join to track her down, she agreed that that was a disadvantage (Edgy didn't seem to think so, though)." "Contrary to belief, I don't think the group is invite only, although they do most of their recruitment this way. But Ms. Lonava seemed willing to listen to anyone who wanted to join. Well, any supernatural, at least." * Saldin nods along some more. "After that, I thought we got as much information from them as we could, but Saldin said he had another question." "But then he just stood there for a long time and wouldn't react to anything. I thought something was wrong, and so did Jonathan, because he told me I should check him fully. So I started to take off his shirt. I was going to take off his pants next, but he woke up." * Saldin laughs a little, then says, "I should tell you what actually happened." Ok! I know it was that telepathy thing you do. I mean, I didn't then, but I do now, but I don't know what you said. * Saldin nods. "I asked her a few questions. The general gist of the conversation was that her group's level of cautioun is something she fears is necessary, but she did not share the opinion of the person who wanted us gone from India." * Yvonne nods. I should also add to the report, at this point, that Edge's powers are to influence items in her posession based on her base plane, a two-dimensional realm. * Yvonne nods. Then blinks. "... hah?" * Saldin shakes his head. "Just... note it down. She can do something to items related to two-dimensionality, but I'm not sure how she would use that." * Saldin smiles a little. "I'm not perfect." Ummm... Ok. "Edge can do something to items in her possession related to her base plane, which is two-dimensions, but we're not sure what." * Yvonne taps her lower lip with her finger. "Hmmm... Could a two-dimensional sword go through armor easy?" * Saldin blinks, and thinks carefully. "It... might. I'm not a physicist, but a thin thing tends to be sharp, like paper, does it not?" Perhaps it is worth theorizing for them. * Yvonne nods. * Yvonne cheers! "But I'm gonna do it anyway!" She does! What else? * Saldin shakes his head. "I could detail Ms. Lonava's powers. Do you think that is nececssary? Sure! I mean, might as well, right? * Saldin nods. "She is most likely a priestess of some sort, her powers being a well mastered blend of water, holy, and healing capabilities." Oh. Ok. * Yvonne repeats that into the report, with "Saldin says" in front. But you don't think she'll join herself? I don't believe so. I would imagine she has more than enough to worry about, and enough people. Mmmm.... If you're sure. But it seems to me that Edge wouldn't join if she didn't, what with how she's never more than three feet away. * Saldin chuckles. "Perhaps you are right." * Yvonne nods. "Uh huh!" Anything else? * Saldin shakes his head. "I don't believe so." 'Kay! Where was I? * Saldin says plainly, "After your attempts to strip me." Oh, right. "So, after I attempted to strip Saldin, he snapped out of it, and we left (later discovering he had been using telepathy the whole time). We returned to SAB, where Jonathan apologized to me for being a big fat doodoo head. So... I guess I kinda forgive him. He's only a doodoo head. One that likes to hear himself talk." "And that's it!" So.... * Yvonne reads it over. "We found out Edge, Lonava and Mak's powers. Is that good?" * Saldin nods. "It is more than they knew before. It seems a success." Yay! * Yvonne gets up and hugs Saldin. "We did it!" * Saldin is hugged! This isn't so odd, and he even hugs back. "Yes, although you seem very excited by that." Well... Yeah. * Yvonne clenches a fist. "That'll show those mean people who kicked me out." If a fire panorama or a Japanese sun could appear behind her now, it would. * Saldin chuckles. I imagine it will. Yeah. I hope they fail. It'd serve them right. * Saldin blinks. "Are you talking about SAB or the Templars?" Not them! The people who kicked me out! But now that you mention it... I hope they both fail. 'Cause if they win, that means we lost! * Saldin blinks, then nods. "Yes." * Yvonne beams. "Yeah! We'll win! You just watch." I do hope so. * Yvonne grins. * Yvonne has big teeth! * Saldin can see them! * Saldin pats Yvonne on the shoulder. "Thank you for your help, Yvonne. If this report is done, I had best be going." 'Kay! I'll take it to base. * Saldin nods. "Thank you. I shall see you later, Yvonne Mozzarella." * Yvonne gives him another hug! "See you later, Saldin Qian!" * Saldin is hugged and nods. Then he closes his eyes for a second before chuckling, and walking into the womens' restroom, much to the annoyance of some of the women watching. * Yvonne isn't annoyed. She thinks it's funny. [End!]
