[October 11, 2020. 4 pm.] [Kurt visits the EU hospital in Stuttgart.] [There's a receptionist he needs to get back first. Guy in his thirties.] [Start] * Kurt walks straight up to the counter, all official like, dressed in an EU military uniform. He looks down at the receptionist, all business, and says, "Can you direct me to Robert Jones, please?" * Receptionist takes a datapad and holds it out to Kurt. "Sign in please." * Kurt takes the pen and scrawls across the pad. * Receptionist takes the pad back. "Thanks. Systems taking a moment to recognize you, but the damn thing does that all the time. So here's a visitors pass, I'll have to ask you to restrict yourself to the main corridors. Take the elevator to the third floor, fifth door on the right." * Kurt nods. "Thanks." * Kurt snaps the pass on his handy military lapel and heads for the elevators. [One opens automatically as Kurt approaches.] [Kurt gets to the room. The chaplain is in the room presently reading a book. There's a few flowers and cards and such n the table.] * Kurt closes the door softly. (Is Kurt being ninja quiet or just quiet?) ( Just quiet. ) * Chaplin glances up. (What's Kurt's "rank"?) * Chaplin gives a weak salute. Good afternoon, Chaplain. * Chaplain drops the salute. "Good afternoon sir." How are you recovering? The treatments they started in the past two days are working fairly well. Muscle control is coming back, but I'm told I'll have a few weeks in physical therapy before I'm combat ready." * Kurt nods. "Have you figured out what he did to you?" * Chaplain nods. "Apparently wasn't an undead drain attack. Which is reassuring in a way. Apparently it did something to my bloodflow and spine. I should have better guarded against it." Really. What did it feel like? * Chaplain looks up at Kurt's face for a few seconds. "Oh... well, as if he was reaching inside my skin. Without breaking the surface somehow. Similar to what I've felt in training against telekinetics, but not quite the same." I see. Did the doctors find any poisons in your blood? * Chaplain keeps looking up at Kurt. "No. Just side effects of losing bloodflow to my brain." * Kurt nods. "Good. Thank you. I'll let you get back to your book now." * Chaplain keeps looking at Kurt for a moment and then blinks and then chuckles. "Thanks. Good luck." Thank you, but I don't think I'll need it, Chaplain. * Chaplain nods and smiles. He then goes back to his book. * Kurt opens the door and leaves. [End!]
