[Resume!] I think it's all the same stuff. * Tim nods. "I guess you're right. I wonder how long it'll last." The grey stuff? I don't think it wears off. Perfect, then I won't have to hurry at all to get some to Vicktor. You should give some to Mai, too. You can ask her to help you make a weapon specifically designed to kill Mak. She knows someone who can do it. (need to ask Greg a question) * Tim shakes his head. "Wouldn't help, I'd need to go find his true name. That's how that knife and the others are tied to you." What, Mak's not good enough? Not any better than Yvonne would be. Well, Mai ought to be able to find out, don't you think? * Tim rubs his head. "Well, I actualy asked her about this. The process she found makes holy weapons for use against demons if you've got their names. Mak, doesn't seem to be a demon. I suppose if I got his name I could find somebody to help me make an unholy weapon against him. Right now I think teleporting large numbers of explosives around him might be my best bet." * Tim points at the severed plank. "He can only make so much at a time. So if I hit him from two sides at once...." * Yvonne grins. "Hey, I thought up that idea!" * Tim grins back at Yvonne. "Which one?" The explosives one. I'll need lots of them. He can shrug off a loooooot. * Yvonne nods. "Maybe... you should try tear gas, too. Or... Hm. * Yvonne folds her arms. in thought. The problem with gas is that I'll need something I can see through, it makes aiming a lot easier. He's gotta have a weakness. Maybe ask Saldin? He's on the list. * Yvonne nods. "And get a bulletproff vest." ( proof ) * Tim sighs. "He'll probibly learn from Angel... damnit that was one of my favorite ticks too." Oh... Yeah. Well.... Try to fight him on uneven ground. Like in a castle maybe. Hmmm... I wonder if maybe Ren would help you? Probably not. Nah, I want a place where I can hide and he can't. Castle lets both of us hide. Oh. Hmmm. Something like Stonehenge or something would be perfect 'cause I can go from one rock to another without him seeing and he'd have to run between each... Painted desert maybe? * Yvonne nods. * Yvonne shakes her head. "I can't think of anything else to help!" * Tim nods. "There's something else that's bothering me, but I can't quite figure out what it is. We know he's hella tough, and he can make that metal, and he's way strong too. Right?" * Yvonne nods. And he likes to punch stuff. * Yvonne throws a few punches at the air. Right, but I'm not gonna stick in one place long enough for him to punch me so that at least I don't have to worry abo... Yeah... that's it. How the hell did the monster in the wall in the basement get there? Mak isn't strong enough to do that. Maybe we can get Smee to help... somehow. I don't think he used his strength to put it there. Then how did he? * Yvonne frowns. "I don't know... but it must have been alive when he came upon it. Maybe someone else put it there, and he found it and decided to kill it... Want me to ask those guys that they caught? The executive guys. If we can find out what they were doing, we can find out how Mak stopped them. * Tim nods. "Yeah, it'll be the pefect chance to prove my aunt wrong. I'm going to go back down there and take another look and see if Kurt's got an idea." * Yvonne nods. "'Kay!" If you find anything, let me know. I've got a bad feeling about this guy. (We'll follow Tim for a second to save time.) ( To save time? Mine's gonna be longer :P ) * Tim nods. "So do I, but it looks like of all people we've got, I'm actualy the one with the best chance. Have fun." [Tim gets down to the basement. The policeman down there verifies that he left not long after you guys did.] * Tim waves at Yvonne and heads for the elevator. * Yvonne grins. "Oooooh. You bet I will!" (Move that down two) (He being Kurt?) (Yes) * Tim nods and grumbles and goes back down the hole. * Grysar is now known as Grysar * ChanServ sets mode: +o Grysar [Tim proceeds down safely.] * Tim looks for the demon in the wall. [The demon. Being dead, hasn't wandered off.] (First .->,) * Tim talks to himself. "Okay... how the hell did you get up there?" [Demon chooses not to explain.] * Tim thinks for a bit and then looks at the wall around the demon. Did it break? Bend? Have a decorative demon shaped cut-out where it'd been mounted before Mak killed it? [The wall is earthen. Give me an awareness check in #sabooc. Any skill you can justify.] [Near as Tim can tell the demon was pushed into the wall. This would take more force than was shown by the nearby punches into the wall.] [It appears that he's farthest in where two of the punches landed. It would be consistent with one punch pushing him in and the second reinforcing it.] * Tim arghs. "Okay... you are that strong, but only when you hit demons, or just only when you want to be, or is that the same thing?" * Tim glances at the alter. "At least Yvonne should be able to tell me what was going on with that." (Give me an occult check Tim!) [Now that he specifically ponders the matter, Tim can recall some figures and items from his occult study that were designed to back more of a whollop against more unnatural foes. He wasn't aware of an instance of superstrength applying that way though.] * Tim scratches his head. "I wonder if... well maybe. Guess it's time to hit the books." * Tim glances around one last time and then climbs back up. (Awareness check. +4) [Tim proceeds upstairs. And we'll cut away from him for the moment, since many of his sources are asleep right now.] [And back to Yvonne.] * Yvonne makes her way to theplace where the five executives are being held. [Yvonne gets there. After working her way through a few officials she gets taken to a holding area. Five execs are there one lawyer each. Presently kept in seperate rooms.] [There's an older male scotland yard detective handy that can answer questions before she goes to interrogate.] * Yvonne tugs on his sleeve. "Hihi!" * Detective looks over to Yvonne with a world weary gaze. "You the special agent?" * Yvonne nods and beams. "Yep! That's me!" * Yvonne glances over the execs, commenting, "They didn't say anything yet, did they?" * Detective looks over Yvonne again. "We haven't gotten anything out of them. You're welcome to give it a shot just don't pull anything that will get us sued. * Yvonne pouts. "Aww. That's gonna make it harder." * Detective nods and takes a slow sip of coffee. "Ain't that always the case. Going with a charm offensive?" * Yvonne giggles. "That's my specialty." Try number three. Mr. Herndon. Seems to be quite the letch." * Detective points to the third interrogation room. * Yvonne nods. "Okay! Thanks." She unbuttons her top until one button is straining to hold it together, and heads over to that room. Just be quick about it. Lawyer will probably find an excuse to throw you out of the room in a minute or two. Good luck. * Yvonne nods. "Okay! Thanks." * Yvonne glances at the other execs once more before going, wondering which one has the most lecherous lawyer. [And Mr. Herndon is middle aged, has blond hair, and has his eyes totally fixed on Yvonne. He's got a younger male lawyer in his late twenties at his side. The lawyer does not look happy to see Yvonne.] [Can't tell by just looking through the windows.] ( Phooey ) * Yvonne bounces into the room, waving. "Hihi!" She turns a the chair on the far side of the table from Herndon and his lawyer around and sits down, resting her chest over the top. She grins. "Mr. Herndon and company?" That I am. And who might you be? * Yvonne beams. "I'm Yvonne! Nice to meet you." I'm afraid I'll have to ask you not to speak to my OWW! ::Sound of a foot stomping:: The pleasure is all mine. So, what can I do to you. That is what can I do for you? * Lawyer grumbles and goes off to a corner and consults his futuristic Blackberry * Yvonne grins. "I like you already. Tell me, what's a nice man like you doing summoning a big ugly demon like that firey thing? You could do a lot better." She leans forward, giving him a nice view. "A lot." * Herndon scowls. "We didn't summon the damn thing. We just..." My client has no awareness of any supernatural activities which would of course be impossible. Sure. Whatever * Yvonne giggles. "Now now. I believe you, Mr. Herndon. You were just a victim of circumstance, right? I mean, I can tell you know when you see something good. You never would have gone along with summoning the big flamey thing if not for the others, right?" They didn't do it either. We didn't summon anything per se. That crazy American came in and screwed everything up. * Lawyer is working furiously on his blackberry. * Yvonne smiles. "I knew it! I knew you wouldn't have done that. I can tell from your soft eyes. They're almost shining." She giggles. "So what did the American do?" * Herndon coughs and looks at his lawyer. "Well, I probably shouldn't say anything." Lawyer furiously shakes his head. * Yvonne pouts. "Aww, you can tell me." She leans back and smiles. "I believe in you. I just can't say no to those eyes." (Give me a +4 soul roll. Apply an average of seduction and interrogation. Round up) (Business interro) * Herndon thinks about it and decides that no he can't resist and gestures for Yvonne to lean in. * Yvonne leans in. Seductively. [Given Yvonne's present attire, it's really enough to just lean in.] * Herndon whispers. "We wouldn't summon a demon like that. It'd be crazy. We were just there to hold a conference call of sorts. Business negotiation. The Yank messed up the call if you know what I mean." * Yvonne nodnods. * Herndon looks down at an angle for a minute before leaning back slightly in his chair. "So really. This whole thing is his fault." * Lawyer suddenly looks relieved at something in his blackberry. * Yvonne nods. "I see. I see. How did the demon get summoned, though?" * Herndon waves a hand. "I've heard, no personal experience of course, that if you change one of those arcane circles then it performs a different function. The bastard kept even tried negotiation with the demon 'Sever ties and I'll let you go in peace.' Crazy stuff. Then they started throwing each other around the room." Ohh! I see! He changed it. We're really the victims here. Not that we were doing anything in there to begin with. * Yvonne nods. "Yeah. It's all his fault. But why was he negotiating with it? I thought he came there to kill it." * Herndon. "Well, perhaps ultimatum would be a better word." * Yvonne nods. "What was he trying to get it to do?" I haven't the foggiest. Some sort of dimensional autarky program? ::He glances over at the lawyer desperately trying to get him to shut up and then Herndon grunts:: Damn, crick in my neck. * Yvonne nods to Herndon. "I see. It's very strange." She smiles. "I don't suppose you could answer justo ne tiny question for me? When they were fighting each other, did you happen to see if the demon did anything to the American that caused him any serious injuries?" * Herndon rubs at his neck and shrugs. * Yvonne nods. "'Kay!" She hops to her feet. "It was nice of you to talk to me. Thanks!" * Herndon nods. "Nice talking to..." He then doubles over in pain, groaning loudly. * Lawyer rushes over to him. * Yvonne stares. "What's wrong?!" * Yvonne rushes over to him too. She shouts at the door. "Hey! Get a doctor here, quick!" * Herndon skin's starts wrinkling rapidly and his hair goes quickly from blond to grey. There's rapid movement around the office with similar calls from the other interrogation rooms. He swore he wouldn't destroy... Who? Destroy what? * Herndon collapses to the table he was sitting at. There's a sound of his brittle bones cracking. He now looks about a hundred forty. And not a youthful demonic hundred forty. Herndon, tell me what's happening! * Lawyers consult and call in medical care and apparently anti-hexers but to no avail. Herndon has left the building and the remains of his body. All that remains is an old looking husk. * Yvonne stares. Then she dashes from the room quickly, finding the nearest phone. [She finds one.] * Yvonne calls Tim! * Tim picks up his phone. "Tim, future leader of the world here, what can I do for you?" * Yvonne damn near shouts into the thing. "Tim? Are you still near the building? You need to get back there, quick!" * Tim blinks. "Why? What were they doing?" They all just got really old suddenly and died! You need to get back there and see if anything changed. One of them said something about someone destroying something. ... Well crap. [A few paramedics rush in and start going from room to room. They don't seem to find anything they can do.] Hurry! Hurrrrrryyyyyy! [Cut to Tim!] ( I'm gonna stay on the phone though :P ) (Yup) (no... actualy you arn't... you're welcome to call back though. ;P) ( Thought Tim had a cell? ) * Tim arrives back in the boardroom as he's still lowering the phone from his ear. He looks around for surprised people. (Yeah, but I doubt British Telecom can follow his cellphone through that) (He took the shortcut) [There's a good number of agents taking pictures and collecting evidence with great precision. Agent lady was staning near where Tim ported in and started at his arrival. * Yvonne calls back, then. 'Cause yeah :P * Tim waves at agent lady. "Hey, sorry about the sudden entrance but we've got a problem... and my phone's ringing. Wonderful morning so far." * Agent lady reaches for her gun and looks over only to relax when she sees it's Tim. "Good lord man. Kindly call ahead before you do that. A foot to the left and you'd be standing in Jerry." What's wrong? * Tim starts to bring his phone back up. "Actualy it doesn't work if if try that, and the exec all just got old and died. Something about something getting destroyed." * Jerry is actually working about a foot and a half to the left of where Tim is standing, but who is counting? * Tim answers the phone. "SAB housecall department, you've got Tim." Like the flower of his youth? We've been delicate over here. Just marking and gathering evidence." (recording and gathering) * Tim nods. "Think it just happened so check to make sure somebody didn't accedently step on something he shouldn't have." * Agent lady then gets a call. "Hey, I already know about the execs we're looking into.." "Oh? And the decontamination went cleanly?" * Tim looks around the circle in the boardroom. Well, put a call into the holding facility. They'll want to know. ::she hangs up:: * Yvonne responds. "It's me, Tim. Let me know what's happening." [The circle is as you left it.] "Check the altar." * Agent Lady looks to Tim. "That was the anglicans. Their artifact squad just successfully destroyed those five jars you saw when you first arrived. Timing seems to match." Sorry about that, but you wanted me to hurry. They say they haven't touched anything, and the board room end of things looks good, I'll go down there next. Huh... You hear that Yvonne? ( Can I assume so? :P ) ( Sure) * Yvonne nods, though Tim can't see it. "Yeah. That must have been what happened." (And wrapping up unless you've got anything else you need to do onsite.) Right, if I ever put in a bid for imortality, remind me to not make it dependant on a small easily destroyed object that I have to keep feeding kids. "'Kay! Actually... can we meet somewhere and talk about this?" It was probably a pain in the ass to destroy. That's why the pros handle it. But stil probably a good call. * Tim nods at the Agent lady. "Right." * Tim turns away from her and continues to talk on the phone. "You still want me to check downstairs or shall we join the four am crowed at some restruant?" * Agent lady goes back to her work. "May as well check. I don't think you'll find anything, but it'll take me a while to get there anyhow." Nothing to lose. Did you get anything out of the execs before they pulled the Darien Grey?" "Yeah. I'll tell you about it when I meet you." [And Tim notices no changes. He's sure he missed something but after searching dilligently he can't place it. Nonetheless it'll probably be bugging him all night.] [End]
