[This battle is held on the last day of round one. There's been a few new entries, who have totally stomped by the original first and second stringers.] [The last remaining battle is Kurt's unless anyone else puts in right before deadline. Given the stomping the newbies have been given, this hasn't been seen as likely.] [This particular battle is in a decommissioned shipyard. There's a medium warehouse, cement square that has a few metal cargo trailors on it, a dock, and a half dozen ships.] [The ships, in order from left to right: tugboat, yatch from the Will/Yuri fight (apparently Yvonne had done *something* on it that made further use unpalatable), a long trailor carrier, broken down river paddleboat, and a garabage scow.] [There's a crane standing over the cement square. Big one. Has a grabbing arm hanging from it.] [Currently on the scene. Warlow, Breaker, Prudence Kinsha, Hector (the Cyborg), anyone who wants to watch. We'll switch over to watch scene in a bit.] [Start] * Prudence, an Asian girl with long black hair and an ample collection of tools has been working on putting a border around some etched writing on Hector's metalic back. You know, if I set the pain sensors just above off, this actually feels kind of good. * Breaker has been off finding things to throw at windows on the ship. She's gotten pretty good at aiming. * Warlow stands leaning against the crane and looking testy. I wouldn't have figured I'd have the time to do the border. Well, I guess we get paid the same if he shows or not. Still, it won't be as interesting. * Saldin walks out onto one of the boats. Which one? Who knows. Not him. He mms as he scans the environment from atop the ship. * Hector glancecs over quite quickly. "There he is... no, it's one of the monks." The girl? That fight with Will was great, he really should have gone for the guns quicker but she was vamping him pretty well. * Saldin wipes her, (yes, it's her, someone should fix that last line), forehead with the back of her hand and walks towards the edge of the ship towards the talkers. Yes... er, no. Huh, oh well ::he makes an exagerated disappointed sigh:: * Prudence hammers in the next part of the border a little harder. Ouch, and what are you mad at me for, you did not need to watch that fight five times for tactical tips. * Prudence blushes. * Saldin says, "Um... hello, everyone?" * Warlow looks up to Saldin. "Greetings, well, hopefully your arrival is a sign." * Breaker waves and then breaks another window. [Prudence and Hector both look up and say hi.] * Saldin hops off of the ship, down to the ground before saying in that oddly toned female voice, "A sign that I am here, at least." And hopefully a sign Kurt will be soon. Ah, so I am... early. Oh, hey, I know you. Saldin, right? * Kurt appears not too far away from Saldin, quite suddenly. Very odd. So, uh, when does this shindig get started? * Saldin is giving Hector a single black arched eyebrow look, then turns to Kurt. "... perhaps you do. The name is right." * Warlow looks over. "Well, just about now." Really? Cool. Where's my opponent? * Kurt looks around. * Hector waves from the ground. "Yo." Really? Sure you're not feeling a tad weighed down? * Hector for the record, has about three quarters of his body covered in alloys, the other half has a weak but barely perceptible forcefield glow. There's a transmitter on his right arm that previously generated a circular forceshield. His left arm has a mounted launcher of some sort on top of it and a metal glove. * Miles appears behind Kurt. He looks a bit moped, but otherwise is fine. "Hey." He also doesn't sound very cheery. Not at all, but thanks for asking. Hey, Miles! Been a while. Yeah. You're feeling okay after the last mission we were on? Course not, even without the strength boosting elements, the alloys used are stronger than steel while being far lighter. Me? Haha, I'm fine. A bit jetlagged, but I just took a few No-Doz. * Saldin turns to Miles and Kurt and continues to play 'quirk the eyebrow'. * Breaker walks over. "So, I've been thinking this over for a while, and if someone combine both of your powers, would it be a cyborg ninja, or a ninja cyborg?" No... doze? Yeah, caffiene pills. Instant energy. Great stuff. * Kurt practically vibrates. Oh, okay. And, uh, I don't know about him, but I'm pretty sure I'd prefer not to be made of mostly metal. Good for when the latest varient of Mountain Dew just doesn't cut it. * Breaker waves her hand. "That's not the question. It's the word order I'm wondering about." This place makes me feel like saying ARRRRR, though. ARRRRRR! * Prudence finishes up. She grins. "I picked it special, hope you like it." * Hector stands up quite lithely. * Miles waves to Breaker and gives an artificial smile. "Hi Breaker." Hey, that's a pretty good metal job, how much you pay? * Breaker waves back. She says cheerily "Don't worry, I'll stay well out of wanting to kill you range!" * Saldin finally looks over at Breaker, and says with a slight smile on her lips, "...Ninja Cyborg, clearly, Breaker." Not a penny. I've been rewarded in other ways. * Hector grins. * Warlow groans. "Let's get this going." Oooooooh, hey, good deal, man. * Prudence gathers up her gear. You definitely came out the winner of that bargain. * Saldin rubs her head. "Or, at least, that is what Yuri assured me last time she watched one of those horrible films." * Hector seems to consider saying something and shrugs, deciding that is the safest course. I wasn't afraid of that, actually. ^^; I don't think so. Huh, good to know. Well, we've got our own watch area by the warehouse, so we'll call from there. * Breaker and Warlow start to walk off. Warlow looks back. "You said you rigged a room with a view in the warehouse, right Ms. Kinsha?" Yup! Well, enjoy it. So, follow me there. * Hector stands up wand walks over to Kurt, he reaches out a hand to shake. "So I hear you'll be quite the opponent." * Kurt reaches out and takes Hector's hand. "You have me at an advantage, I haven't heard a damn thing about you." [Oh, did forget. to say, there is a small rocket pack on Hector's back. Doesn't look like it offers terrific control. There's mystical writing on the back of that.] * Saldin looks after Breaker, mms, then says, "I suppose that means I am with... er... Ms. Kinsha?" * Miles blinks. "Where should I go to watch?" * Hector looks slightly embarrassed. "Huh, I figured you'd have studied up on the whole Crown Jewels thing. Oh well, I'm sure you'll think of something." With me, got a nice viewing area rigged up. ::She leads the two of you to #sabwatch after any last comments:: * Miles reaches up and pats Kurt on the back. "Good luck." He gives Hector an evil glare, then goes off to the viewing area. * Saldin looks over at Kurt for a second, licks her lips, then follows to the watch area. [The watch area is actually well set up, none of these small monitors, there's 50 inch LCDs and a good view from the obviously reinforced windows. There's a few boxes of pizza, soda, and snacks.] [As well as a cooler full of reasonably high quality beer.] * Prudence walks in, grabs a beer and a slice of pepperoni pizza, and settles in to a good watching position. * Miles takes up a soda and peers at the pizza, looking more than a little sick from it. "Anno... you have anything other than pizza?" ^^; * Saldin does not take anything, instead sauntering over, in her simple white shirt and loose pants, and peering at the screen. Sure. ::She finds and opens another cooler:: Got some vegan stuff, like salad or tofu dishes? Oh, that's fine. I like meat, cheese just makes me... sick. * Hector walks over to by the boats and then shifts into a defensive crouch. Ready... Go! * Prudence hands Miles a fairly hot tofu Chinese dish. She then hits a few buttons and fairly quiet fans kick in, removing the cheese smell from the room. * Miles takes it and takes a bite. He then proceeds to eat contently after it doesn't suck too bad. * Saldin stretches her arms behind her head for a second, before turning back to look at Miles. "If Breaker truly is that frightening, it is little wonder you did not wish to be too heavily involved." * Kurt drops into a sideways stance, presenting quite a small profile even for somebody who's normally not particularly large. * Kurt raises one hand to Hector. "Hit me with your best shot." * Hector starts up his shield and grins. "My best 'ey. Well, that's got to be a ninja trick, but I'll give it the old college try." He jumps up onto the tugboat and crouches out of sight for the moment on the deck. * Kurt turns to keep himself a slim profile and waits patiently. * Hector suddenly shoots up from the boat, rocket pack activated, hauling up an anchor. He heaves it down at Kurt once he's about five meters up. [The screen clearly shows Hector grabbing an anchor.] [The Chinese food is actually fairly good, if a little greasy.] * Miles smiles. "I'm not scared of her. If I was I couldn't stand to meet my family." He sighs. "But it isn't my place to put in an opinion, as she made her decision. I respect it." * Saldin smiles very slightly before turning back to the screen and saying, "Well, you have not fled from my sight either." [His aim is not amazing, but the anchor is big enough that Kurt's going to have to defend or get hit.] * Hector incidentally keeps going up after heaving the anchor. * Kurt stays totally unmoving until the last second, then darts to the side, but still gets caught in the anchor and goes down, hard, doubled over around the anchor. * Hector lands on a section of the crane, about ten meters below the controls. "Damn.. that is convincing. If it weren't for infravision and those Chunnel logs I might just blow myself up." * Hector starts looking around. Anno... if I did, it'd be harder to work... And I wouldn't meet Breaker. * Saldin frowns at the screen. "That did not necessarily stop you before... Miles." * Prudence just eats and watches for now. Yes, well... *gulp* You earned enough trust for me to stay around. * Saldin 's frown slips away. "Very comforting. One might say that trust is the currency we survive on." * Miles looks at the screen and munches a little more. "Mmmmm." * Kurt appears below Hector, rocketing straight up just high enough to slam a palm into Hector's backpack as he spins into place. * Hector is caught by surprised and doesn't manage to get control again fast enough. He puts his shield out in front of him and it slams in to the dummy. He seems to have been able to tell just where the explosive was, but even so it does blow up and some of the shrapnel and flame do make it around the shield. He's got scrotch marks on his alloy. Right, gonna take more than infravision. ::the covering over one of his eyes gets a green color:: He starts moving towards the boats again while he aims his left arm up at Kurt and fires what looks to be a couple meter long length of wire. [The wire hits Kurt and immediately wraps around him. (Straight body roll, any escape artist like skill helps) it also seems to have it's own internal electrical source and gives a fairly nasty shock.] [However, Kurt manages to squirm his way out of the wire and it's his turn!] * Kurt touches down on the deck of the ship a moment later and sprints at top speed, trailing a streak of cherry red from his right hand. "KATON AKURYOKU NO JUTSU!" * Kurt slams his glowing fist forward, driving it right past Hector's face as he pulls to a stop... having missed. * Hector grins and pauses for a fraction of a section as he scans Kurt's body. He then shoulders down with his shield and charges back, rocket engine igniting. * Kurt slams his formerly glowing hand down on Hector's hand and hurls himself straight over, doing a momentary handstand as he vaults over the cyborg and comes down in a crouch behind him. * Kurt blurs as he sprints from his crouching position, sliding into a kick into Hector's rear end from below. My, he certainly is a confusing sort to watch. * Miles follows Kurt's actions. "Not that hard if you know what most people will do when they're not seen." * Prudence frowns. "I was thinking the invisibility wouldn't work against standard sensors. Appears I underestimated him." She still looks quite confident and grabs another slice of pizza. * Miles snickers at that. * Hector seems to hear it coming and shifts his arm back, the shield shifting itself down and projecting to cover his ass. Kurt's feet eat sparkingly forcefield, which is not a pleasant sensation. [Kurt manages to actually react in time to avoid some of the damage. Meanwhile Hector is spinning around and aiming with another one of his wire attacks.] * Hector, however, misjudges his fast moving foe, and instead manages to electrocute some of the water below the boat. Hope there weren't any fish there! You, sir, are VERY well equipped. * Hector keeps an even expression. "I'd be a fool to show up unprepared." Ah, it's a good thing I'm not you! * Saldin looks over at her and says, "You and he certainly seem quite prepared, in many ways." * Prudence laughs. "Well, helps that some of your mission logs are on the open market. But, Hector has a highly modular setup, he can properly choose a load out for most any situation he'll enter into. And don't worry about your friend, all his mainstays are nonlethal." They still hurt. Many things hurt. It is encouraging that so many people are being careful not to kill their opponents, however. * Prudence nods. "Well, it's just a tournament, only right really. Sides, Kurt seems a nice enough of a guy, although that could be a ninja trick." * Kurt leaps backwards, away from the water, and wings a single shuriken, small paper tag fluttering happily behind it, to the ground at Hector's feet. * Hector rockets out of the way and the explosion hits just below his feet, the boat your on then lurches violently and then tilts up at a forty five degree angle. [Kurt is thrown from his feet and lands in the drink, the water eagerly lapping up and splashing around him. He's actually still on top of the now partially sunken boat, so he can't actually sink much.] Anno, Kurt's not a ninja. Ninja don't exist. * Saldin looks away from the screen at Milies with what is probably a suspicious white-eyed look "... I struggle to believe that, Miles." * Prudence giggles. "I suppose that's fair enough, as one of my security systems have caught three of them sneaking into a government facility that doesn't exist." * Miles smiles. "Exactly." * Hector lands on the bridge of the boat and aims a wire at Kurt for a moment before changing his mind and ripping a metal satellite dish off the roof and chucking it in Kurt's direction. * Kurt stands up, throwing water up in every direction. A moment later, the dish slams into his left shoulder and spins him around and totally off his feet. * Kurt breaks the surface again, throwing water everywhere, screams in sheer terror, and breaks for the nearest dry land as fast as he can possibly manage. [Kurt manages to get up on the tilting dock with reasonable speed, he's able to get his footing securely and drop to a defensive crouch.] * Hector leaps back down and charges, shield raised. * Prudence grins. "Ooo, unarmed attacks. The shifting is actually new, glad it paid off." * Saldin mms slightly at Prudence's statement. * Kurt spins to the side, right around Hector's shield, reaches out with his left arm, and slaps something right on the center of the cyborg's jetpack. TORA! * Hector jumps to higher ground presses the attack against Kurt, this time rather than charging he uses the shield as more of a weapon, although he does rapidly shift his stance, trying to find an advantage. [Defense roll, Kurt!] * Kurt fails utterly to block, dodge, or anything of the sort, and take the full brunt of the "shield." Hrm. Today does not seem to be a good day for him. * Miles nods. "He's having some trouble." He takes anoter bite. * Prudencee nods and looks quizically at the screen. "Wonder why Hector didn't just livewire him." * Saldin cringes slightly. Huh? He's strong, but not that strong, the incapacitating wire projectile. IWP, or more colloquially live wire is much more effective. * Hector as soon as he gets a solid jab in, leaps back and scans Kurt, just in case he's going to blow up. [The water is starting to flow higher, as the boat you stand on starts to sink. Isn't tilting any more to the side though.] * Kurt looks down at the water for a moment, then leaps high into the air, flipping around en-route and landing with a single shuriken already in hand trailing shadows behind. "Kage Shuriken no Jutsu." * Kurt hurls the shuriken straight at Hector without further dramatics. What the hell is that? Can't be an explosive, he's got detectors for that... ::she brings up a zoom on one of the screens showing what looks to be an I-ching calculator with an attached reciept printer:: ... certainly unconventional. * Miles scratches his head. * Hector blocks the first attack with ease only to have his eyes widen when the second shuriken hits his armour, it's slowed some by the alloy, but still sticks in. "Damn how'd you...?" He then coughs and grins weakly as he leaps up to go after Kurt again with his shield. "You clever son of a bitch." [Kurt probably saw this coming and manages to avoid the full impact of the shield. He still experiences a nasty shock though, and his hair is starting to stand up on end. At this point, Kurt went from looking about in the same health state as Hector to being a bit worse for the wear.] * Kurt plants his rear foot and slams a suddenly glowing fist straight into the heart of Hector's defenses. KATON AKURYOKU NO JUTSU! * Hector skirts back just in time and rather than using his shield to block instead presses the offensive directly to Kurt. However, he seemed sufficiently thrown by the attack that his own counter is barely on target. Defense roll! [Kurt is only slightly more able to anticipate this attack, but slightly cuts it in this case.] * Kurt gathers his energy and leaps with all his power, coming down a long, LONG way away. * Kurt brings his thumb up to his mouth and bites down, drawing blood, then uses it to sketch a symbol on his palm. He thrusts it back at Hector. "KATON!" * Hector decides to leap ship for the garbage scow while firing another wire up at Kurt. His aim is true and the wire glides through the air, eager to give Kurt a energetic hug. [Kurt's extra steps to prepare himself for this attack allow him not just to dodge slightly to the left as the wire flies up, but to anticipate and duck under when it tries to coil around him.] * Prudence starts up a computer search on the device, she scowls as it brings a series of unproductive results. "I've never seen that... oh, would have electrocuted him in the water. Well, it's a non-lethal charge... ::she makes a few calculations:: Err... just as well he threw a satellite dish then." [Both of you just recognize the caluclator as a cheap ass fortune telling device.] I can get one on Ebay for $5. Must be something jury rigged. ::she looks over to you guys with a keen expression:: Is he some sort of Ninja- Mcguyver, or would it be a Ninjaguyver, or just a Ninguyver. Because that would be cool! I... actually do not know him, so I could not tell you. What's a 'gu-vier'? * Prudence grins. "He could disarm a nuclear device with a paperclip, pocket change, and a rubber band. Well, theoretically. It's not really possible. At very least you'd need a plastic comb and a pair of nail clippers as well." * Miles shudders. "Annn..." * Saldin looks over at her strangely then turns back to the screen. "The words escape me, so I will simply say that simplicity is a virtue." This is true, have you ever seen load out some roleplaying systems give cyborgs? Missile launchers, miniguns, the deathstar cannons, all at the same time. I tend to think that's just asking for trouble. Versatility is important, but who wants to be a walking ammo dump. ... I... can't say I have. * Prudence looks Saldin over for a few seconds. "I suppose not." She then grabs another slice of pizza. * Miles blinks. "No?" * Saldin licks her lips and closes her eyes for a second, clearly more than a blink, then opens them. [Suddenly Hector's shield blinks and then goes out. He seems rather put off by this development.] [Right before Hector's shield goes off, the printer on his back prints out multiple Chinese characters that glow for a fraction second.] * Miles blinks and quickly reads. * Prudence's eyes go wide and she quickly goes to the computer. * Miles giggles. ... oh my. YES! * Kurt raises his right hand in front of his face and is begins glowing a bright cherry red, and waves of heat radiate visibly. KATON! AKURYOKU NO JUTSU! * Kurt disappears in a flash of red and reappears right in front of Hector, leaving only a trail of red to mark his path as he slams his glowing hand straight at the now nearly defenseless cyborg. * Hector shakes off his startled expression and jumps back, raising his arm by pure instinct to block the attack. Unfortunately, instinct isn't always rights as his eyes widen as he remembers that said block technique is only really effective if he has his shield... [Kurt's blow leaves a solid dent in the arm which slams into the cyborg's chest as he sprawls backwards and falls into the water.] * Prudence then looks back to the screen. "Damn, damn, damn! One piece of technology I don't let the government independently test for scientific standard and it... Hector! ::She rapidly switches cameras to one that dives underwater, showing Hector unconscious but apparently breathing normally within the forcefield covering the unnarmoured parts of his body. Is he okay? He looks to be in no real danger... * Prudence nods slightly while going through her tools and checking a device. "Okay, systems are all stable, he'll be alright, still should get him back to land." * Prudence is hyperventilating slightly, but trying to keeping it under control with some success. AUGH. * Kurt jumps backward, shaking his hand in pain. * Hector didn't look like he made any effort to try to stay on the boat. He wasn't looking as if he was capable of making most any efforts at all.] * Kurt backs off even further, still holding his hand and watching the water warily. He looks exhausted. [Breaker and Warlow emerge from beside the warehouse. Warlow looks at Kurt and then says something quietly to Breaker who proceeds to make an inelegant jump into the water.] * Prudence rushes down to join the others. * Saldin smiles slightly and says softly, after Prudence leaves, "I suppose that means this is over." * Miles nods. "Anno, I think so. She is worried too much." * Saldin smiles a little. "Have you ever taken care of a child, Miles?" * Miles blushes. "Uh, yes. Multiple times." ^^; * Saldin looks over at Miles. "Then I would think that you'd understand." * Saldin smiles at him. Aww. She's nice. Yes, but I have also seen them grow. And... he's old enough to be on his own. If you believe so. * Saldin turns and walks out. "I do not know him well enough to say that." * Miles gets up and finishes his tofu. "Anno... Yeah." He follows Saldin. [As you leave, one of the more selfcontained of Prudence's toolboxes sprouts six legs and crawls down with you.] * Breaker works her way to Hector with a doggy paddle that actually looks bad even by doggy paddle standard. But she's crazy strong so she gets there fast. * Kurt slumps a little, now that he's pretty sure he's won. * Warlow makes a hurried trot over to Kurt. "How are you doing?" Uh... I'm glad I took those No-Doz. VERY glad. That was hard. * Warlow nods. "Want healing. If I'm interpretting what happened correctly I should be able to help with the shield damage." Don't sweat it. I'll heal. It didn't kill me, after all. * Breaker surfaces from below the water, hauling Hector in one hand. She treads water for a moment. * Prudence races out and jumps on to the boat, and then trips on an anchor cord because she's really not watching where she's going, she quickly finds her footing again and races towards the edge. * Warlow nods. * Breaker swims a bit and finds a ladder, climbing up and putting him on the dock. Prudence rushes over to him and quickly opens a previously invisible access panel and starts checking thigs over. She then blinks. "I forgot my tools." * Prudence hits a button on her wrist watch and then goes back to work. * Kurt walks slowly over to see if the generator is still there. * Saldin pads over from the watch silently with a slight smile on her face. * Kurt bends down and retrieves the small calculator-like device from Hector's back. "He's powerful." * Miles appears next to Kurt. "Yeah. He got better since the tower..." * Prudence nods, "He is" Her voice cracks slightly as she speaks. "I didn't give him good enough tools." She hugs Hector and then looks up when her crawling toolbox arrive, she then starts going to work more intently. She grabs various devices from the box almost without even looking and quickly has half a dozen detectors and aid delivery systems attached to him. Nah, his tools were good. * Saldin watches Prudence work, a little, the smile continuing on her face, before she turns to look at Breaker. My tools just happened to be exactly what I needed. * Breaker stretches. "Apparently, but still ninja beats cyborg for today. ::she clasps her hands together:: But it was a well fought battle, and one day your forces can unite against the common enemy of ninja cyborgs." * Miles giggles. "I saw that in a movie once." * Breaker nods. "So should I see that movie? I just figured it would be the natural next step and there'd be an ensuing battle." * Prudence nods weakly at Kurt's comment. "A worm on all cybermancers." She keeps working on Hector. Anno, I didn't understand it too much. ^^; [Meanwhile a tinted window luxury car pulls up at the far end of the docks. If you want to notice it, make an awareness roll.] * Warlow bends down by Hector. "I can help heal him if you like." * Saldin shakes her head. "I am sure you can find something better to watch, Breaker." * Prudence shoots her a rather nasty possessive look for a split second but then nods and relents. "I'd appreciate that." * Warlow and Prudence work together for a bit. Aww, it seems like such a good concept. How could it go wrong? I couldn't follow the story. And the computer stuff confused me. ^^; ... while I do not watch movies, somehow, Yuri's loud complaints make me certain that things can go wrong. They didn't use real ninja. Or real cyborgs. That's two strikes right there. [A man in a business suit get out of the car.] Oh, yeah, that's weak then. * Miles nods. Anno, it was something thirty years ago, I think? I wonder why more moves don't use real vampires or demons. Apparently there's a lot of them. Maybe I could earn money on the side as a monster wrangler. Too much trouble. You'd have to control them for months on end. * Warlow looks like she wants to bury her head in her hands, but she keeps healing. Kurt does earn a grateful look though. Yeah, that sounds like a pain. * Saldin just withdraws from the conversation, instead looking around with the small smile still on her face. * Business suit guy opens the door and out steps an eighteen year old. He's actually in rather expensive looking, and thus somewhat cheap looking, teenage fashion apparel. He isn't quite wearing it right though, so he looks a bit like a dork. He walks over to the group and waves. "'ey Breaker!" * Hector slowly comes too under the care of the two women. "Owww.." * Breaker looks over to the guy and shouts with glee. "Bookie!" She races over and picks up the taller male and gives him a tight hug. He groans slightly and looks like he's about to pass out. * Miles is, for records sake, looking like a very young 15-16 year old. * Miles blinks at the eighteen year old. * Saldin tracks Breaker's running over to the guy. * Warlow glances up. She turns to Prudence. "I'll be back." She then jogs over to the guy as well. Uh.. good to see you, ouch! * Breaker looks sheepish and lets him down. "What are you doing here? We looked for you after SAB started looking after me, but they couldn't find you." [The guy, on closer examination, as a fairly wirey look. He doesn't look tough, but he does look like he's seen a few fights in his day and would try to fight dirty enough to leave a few marks on a victorious foe. He's got a pair of glasses with cracked lenses.] Well, I made some new friends that appreciate my intellect. * Breaker snerks. * Saldin contiues to look over at Breaker and this 'Bookie' with her flat white eyes. And, I'm here to enter the tournament. ::He glances over at Saldin and tries not to stare at her eyes. He's not that successful.:; Unfortunately, the first round just... Aww, come on, it's Bookie, let him in! * Saldin gives him a slight, yet thin, smile. Hey, at least he's staring at her eyes. There's a lot to stare at. * Warlow stares over at Breaker for a second. Breaker stares back. * Miles blinkblinks again. There's nobody left to fight him. * Kurt looks over at Warlow. "Is there?" There isn't? Damn, well, there's still a few rounds left, right? * Warlow looks to Kurt. "No one left in the first round." * Miles scratches his head. Well, it's my tournament, so he's in. ::she stares at the boy:: You're gonna get your ass kicked Bookie, you can't handle street thugs, but hey, if you want to, Well, Vanguard is giving me some help. Besides, I beat that martial artist ones. * Saldin moves over towards the young man and Breaker slowly. * Breaker rolls her eyes. "He claimed he was a martial artist Bookie, not the same." * Hector slowly gets up, waves off Prudence and walks over to Kurt. "Impressive." You too. Your information was impressive. I, uh... If you need someone to test him, I could try? I wouldn't keep going if I won, but... At least you would know he won't get hurt badly against the others? * Bookie blinks and gets a definate this is not the plan look. Cool! That'll be fun. You've read about fox spirits, right Bookie? * Bookie nods and doesn't appear pleased by that knowledge. * Miles grins and waves cheekily. His fox-ears pop out too. * Saldin laughs a little lightly and says, "I think this is a bad idea, Breaker, but he is your friend." Well, that fight can be in the second round. ::she walks over to him, losing her semblencec of a smile once she's past Breaker:: And, if you want to visit, just give me a call, but we should be going for now. * Hector chuckles and then winces. "Well, not that impressive. Smee paid for it, I just had to read it." * Prudence follows Hector and works while he stands there. Damn, I wonder where you got it. * Miles walks up to Bookie and smiles. "So, what's your name? I'm Miles!" * Saldin stretches her legs by standing on one foot and folding her leg, one for each, then bows slightly to 'Bookie' and Breaker. "I will see you later, Breaker, but now I think there is somewhere else I should be." Her look scans over Bookie for a second, then back to Breaker. * Bookie gives a good attempt at a proper bow. "Bert Essex." Bookie! I was the only one of our group that wasn't permanently banned from all the local libraries and public labs. * Breaker looks to Saldin and smiles. "Kick butt! Or, help butt I guess, depending." * Miles giggles. "I like libraries though. So much to absorb." * Saldin smiles slightly and replies to Bookie, saying, "A good mindset to have," then turns to Breaker and says, quietly, "We will see. There is... " she turns and begins to walk. "... something else..." and then flat disappears from view. Well, good luck with that. I'm sure SAB has the resourecs to figure it out. And if you ever want to play around with weapon testing, we'll make sure you get amply rewarded for it. * Businessman walks over. "Mr. Essex, you do have an appointment." * Bookie nods. "Huh.." The fitting. Oh, right. See you Breaker! * Breaker waves. [End!]
