[Date: October 22, 2020. Noon. The final battle of the tournament.] [Once again, you start on the oil rig. There's a bit more of an escort this time. A half dozen commandos on the rig and a destroyer with a pair of patrol boats police the nearby waters.] [Two helicopters, launched from the destroyer, watch the air.] [There's no food except what you brought. The E.U. Colonel, Good Peter, Lanova, and Will represent the losing teams.] [Not surprisingly, Paragene doesn't have a representative.] [Breaker is presently picking dirt from under her nails with a combat knife. The affectation is a bit weakened by the fact that she's clipped her nails within a week at most, so they aren't long.] [Bookie has a look of grim resolve and stands next to Ceilia representing team Vanguard.] [Start] [For the moment, all is silent except for the occasional screech of sea gulls circling well above to the rig.] * Tim is so totally there, and wearing a SEXY!SAB windbreaker, he's also eyeing the security. "Gee, you'd almost think somebody wasn't happy with the way things are going." You mean there's anyone that is happy? Anybody that bet on Yvonne finishing back in the beginning? [Oh, and Tim, give me a visual awareness roll off mind. Urban tracking helps.] * Saldin appears off the mists. She's female AGAIN today. Dicesuke likes womens. Blue-skinned women, at that. She seems unconcerned. * Vega, the EU Colonel, snorts at Tim's comment. * Yvonne has a big grin on her face. "Hihi everyone!" Thigh-high boots, short- shorts and a leather halter seem to be the order of the day. She's wearing her jacket, as well. "Let's have a party when this is all over, mmmkay?" * Saldin waves at Yvonne slightly, looking around to take in the situation, then looks to Bookie for a long moment. * Yvonne spots Saldin and waves. "Hi Saldin! You're looking a little blue." * Bookie laughs nervously at Yvonne's comment and then glances over to Saldin. No Yuri? * Tim blinks at Lanova for a moment and then looks at Saldin. "Man, you have the weirdest curses ever. Blue?" * Mary Warlow and the Enchanter walk out from the lower deck. Positions please! * Saldin replies, "I am less and less her keeper, Bookie. I am sure she will show up if she must." A faint smile. "Choice is not always part of life, Bookie." * Saldin glances to Tim a moment, but doesn't respond. [Breaker and the other representatives move to the the edges of the elaborate circle in the middle of the rig.] Don't I know it. ::He walks to the center:: * Yvonne does too! "Ok! Let's showdown!" * Tim gets out of the circle because he's not the one fighting. "Kick his ass so we can go party!" * Saldin looks to Yvonne and nods, before crossing her arms in front of her. Choice of arena? [ http://sab.zort.net/maps/maps.htm ] * Yvonne folds her hands behind her back and leans forward, grinning at Bookie. "Let me win and you can go out with me." Taken. * Yvonne pouts. "That's no fun." * Tim snaps his fingers. We can bring her along if you want, though! * Bookie relaxes a little and grins. "I've got to disagree there. And she doesn't share." I approve of this train of thought. * Yvonne pouts. Looks like you'll have to do it the hard way, Yvonne. * Saldin glances to the younguns talking about all their 'sex' and shakes her head slightly. * Peter looks at Tim as if the boy probably did not get enough Sunday school lessons. * Enchanter harrumphs. "Location?" * Tim ignores him. [Awareness rolls all. Sense of choice. +8 penalty.] * Saldin looks to Warlow, attempting to catch her eye. * Warlow, doing a paranoid look around, catches Saldin's eye. * Yvonne raises a hand! "Question!" * Warlow walks over to Saldin. Shouldn't we be going by now? * Enchanter lets out a breath. "Yes?" Yes. * Saldin waits for Warlow to walk over to her, before leaning over and mouthing something in her ear. They told me earlier I couldn't start with any of my demons already summoned. Sooooo... * Yvonne points at Bookie. "Shouldn't that be true for him, also?" * Enchanters tone is highly caustic when he responds to Tim, for the record. Fine, we don't object to summoning prior to the call of start. Obviously, they can't act before start is called. * Warlow folds her hands and nods. Her face is impassive. Fine. Location? * Bookie shrugs. "Coliseum would work." * Yvonne nods. "Okay then.... How about the tar pits?" Sure. * Enchanter stamps his foot and everyone but Yvonne and Bookie fade out to #sabwatch. [The various NPCs watch intently.] He actually agreed to the Tar pits... Man, if he falls in I'm going to laugh and laugh. * Saldin watches as well. White eyes and blue skin and all. Her hand rests at her belt. (Where are we watching from? The platform?) (Just floating. You can move but you can't interact with the world.] * Yvonne summons as many of those huge 3-eyed monsters as she can! [A total of five.] [Bookie similarly summons his mech. It looks... heavy. The weapon load out is basically the same (although it's switched from 5 groups of 4 missiles to six of three. However, the armor and servos seem consistently upgraded. There's no obvious new features aside from the sopped up chassis.] * Breaker appears for a moment in ghosted form. "Ready?" Nope! I mean yep! [ http://sab.zort.net/maps/la_brea/la_brea_overhead.jpg ] [ I'll say you both start, dead center.] [The main difference between this map and the real world is that the city surrounding it is faded out, as that's outside the ring. In addition, the tar pit is very much a real tar pit. There's even a real dying mammoth.] * Bookie over the speakers. "*Ready.*" Go! [Init rolls.] [Yvonne, Bookie, Demons.] [Yvonne.] * Yvonne takes off towards Bookie's rear, putting distance between herself and her demons. Yet she doesn't actually attack. * Bookie turns on his afterburners and *jumps* as he launches a series of missiles at Yvonne. His rate of movement gives him a +2 penalty on the attack. He gets high enough (150 meters) up that he's still arcing at the end of his turn. He'll be taking a +2 penalty from speed. [Three missiles fly towards Yvonne. +3 penalty ranged attack defense, two from auto-fire, one from spreading.] * Yvonne concentrates very very hard on not getting hit. [Yvonne just barely manages to leap and bound out of the way of all of the missiles. They fly off in separate directions to home in again next round.] And that's about the only shot he's going to get off. [Demons!] * Yvonne hops and jumps and flips, landing in a crouch. She looks up at Bookie and grins savagely. "You're gonna regret not taking that date." Her demons attack in unison, their three eyes flashing at Bookie. Unless you holy warded the whole thing or something. I would guess that the defenses against Saldin would also these. Even Vanguard doesn't only guard against good. [The eye beams flash through the air. Three are on target, although one fails to compensate for the distance and aims high. [A force field of mystic energy causes one of the beams to glance off. The second beam penetrates, but due to the mind shielding has greatly reduced effectiveness.] work against Of course not. * Saldin smiles slightly. "Tenacious." Direct hit, but man, Yvonne needs to drill that last one on aiming. [Bookie lands in the upper left corner of the battlefield. I'll say that's about 300 meters away by ground. He fires another batch of missiles at Yvonne.] [And, operating at reduced effectiveness, the missiles, miss. The ones fired the previous round do as well.] ... Speaking of needing help with aiming, did you test those missiles? * Ceilia smiles over to Tim. "Do you have any next of kin? Where should I send my regrets when she steals your soul?" That'd be my parents, but really, you'd have regrets? I'm touched. [Demons.] [Demons and Yvonne. That's true.] * Yvonne unsummons two of the big guys, replacing 'em with one of her green- skinned flyers. The rest of the demons just try again, futile though it is. * Bookie is sluggish, but he manages to pull out of the way. * Bookie leaps once again, this time to the upper right corner. He's sticking two range increments out of short range. He launches another group of missiles as the second set turn to hit Yvonne.] [None are on target.] No, but decorum you know. ::she ponders for a moment:: Actually, you don't seem to understand the concept at all. Eh. [Yvonne and demons.] * Yvonne bides her time as her 3 eyed giants leap (er, don't leap) to the attack again. Meanwhile, her flyer takes to the air, throwing a bolt of darkness at the enemy. * Bookie lands and keeps up his attack. [This time, he's aiming a bit better and three missiles slam into his target as the other three homers miss once again. Yvonne is able to leap just at the last minute and avoid the punishment of three direct hits. [Demons! Bookie is still at double range.] [Yvonne too.] * Yvonne is totally hit and blasted away, rolling along the ground. When she comes to a stop, she gets up, glaring. "Grr... You'll be sorry!" waving her hands, she unsummons two of the big guys, summoning instead what looks like a wingless gargoyle in a robe. Her flyer and the remaining big guy take their turns attacking. * Ceilia clucks sympathetically at Yvonne's pain. * Tim makes wavy hand motions and then WINCES. "Ow." [Will and Lanova seem a bit sympathetic. Everyone else, not so much. Aside from Ceilia who is faking it. :P] * Saldin reminisces internally, but externally she still just has her hands at her waist. [The Grancer hit doesn't even scratch the paint. However, Bookie stops moving.] * Ceilia sighs. That... was climatic and anti-climatic at the same time. [And the remaining homing missiles miss Yvonne.] [And the battlefield fades away.] * Yvonne cheers. "Woo! I am SOOOOOO awesome!" * Breaker nods. "Congratulations." [Yeah, everything is back to normal, the La Brea world is banished.] * Yvonne hops. "I won! Whee! I'm the winner!" * Tim yells, "AND SEXY ESS AYE BEE TAKES IT ALL!" * Saldin celebrates for Yvonne's sake by dropping her robe and putting her amulet in her hand, instantly. "Incoming extra-dimensional threats from Kristof," she says simply. Wait, what? Bastards! Where? [Actually, everyone init. Yvonne and demons, refresh please.] * Saldin points out. "Casting from there, and they will punch through here." Her eyes look to a gull. "And the soul swapper as well? Bookie, your girlfriend has truly outdone herself." * Yvonne whines. "This is SO not fair! I totally won!" [Tim!] [Yvonne, Tim] * Tim holds his damn action until there's something he can do. "Wait, that bird's possessed?" * Yvonne does, also! "I don't believe this." She turns to the demon. "Hey, hurry up and heal me!" * Yvonne does do something after all! She unsummons her gigantic beast and her flyer, replacing them with two lizard-like humanoids with blade-like claws. [Vega and Breaker are acting before Raleigh as well.] * Vega pulls out a pistol and takes two quick shots at the fast moving sea gull. [The gull takes a hit and begins to drop rapidly, no longer in control of its flight.] * Breaker takes a full defense stance. It seems logical. [Yvonne gets her healing as a fiery column shoots up from the ocean, engulfing the gull. Awareness checks all.] [All can see a small creature rapidly ascended to the your level from the midst of the column. It glows brightly. Those that make their awareness checks see a frog wearing a silver amulet with a ruby embedded in the middle.] * Lanova gasps and then tilts her head. "Wait.. it's not real..." It's a frog. * Tim blinks at it, and then starts to snicker. * Yvonne giggles. "Angry frog attack!" Oh noes! What ever shall we do? [Warlow, Will, Lanova, Saldin, Ceilia.] * Warlow looks to Saldin to guidance. * Will's a more industrious lad so he starts shooting the column. His bullets fail to penetrate it. Not even close. * Lanova looks confused. "Wait, why a frog?" * Ceilia has a finger to her throat. "Evac, now!" Why not a frog? [The gull was lifted up by the column so is also at your level.] Evac where? We're on an oil tanker in the middle of nowhere! * Ceilia ignores Yvonne. * Yvonne isn't too happy about that. She folds her arms and hmphs. "Fine, go ahead and run." * Saldin says, as she gets between the gull and Breaker, "Breaker, don't look to the gull, and stay close to me." She frowns. "Warlow... where is your SAB support?" * Warlow looks to Saldin. "So cease holding off response?" [The column extends another ten stories above you lot, so the bird and frog being at eye level don't mean they're not covered. * Saldin 's amulet flashes once. "I cannot think of a better time." [The military support opens fire on the column. Most of the firepower glances off harmlessly, but the mini-gun on one of the helicopters manages to weaken the shield in one area. Saldin can try to exorcise through that area with only a +2 penalty. * Warlow rushes to Breaker's side as this happens. [And as Saldin prepares to exorcise the gull squawks and then glows and shifts and bends in ways that seem to indicate a few extra dimensions at work.] [A dark energy beam shoots from the gull's eyes to the recently defunct mech. It suddenly cackles with power as electrical current flows over its skin. Raleigh, in frog form, is still present in the column.] [The gull however goes completely lifeless and again drops, this time not to be picked up. Sixth Sense roll Saldin.] [Saldin (exorcism), Yvonne, Vega, Breaker, Peter] [Okay, Saldin doesn't get a trace. He can still act though.] This can't end well. * Yvonne nods. "I'll say. She sends aay her healer, replacing it with... two of the exact same thing. Or are they? * Peter pulls out a cross and yells at the mech, "In Christ's name, be gone!" Anyone who thinks that has no chance of working, say so in #sabooc. * Saldin 's eyes widen and she pivots on one foot to lets loose the exorcism on What Was Once Bookie. Her teeth grit. Session Time: Wed Nov 01 00:00:00 2006 [The mech speaks in a deep Scandinavian accented voice. Anyone that’s heard Kristof’s voice can easily recognize it. "You honestly think-- impudent monk!"] * Peter isn't getting noticed, so apparently Saldin's exorcism was more effective. * Tim strokes his chin. "No, I can't say I've thought that before." * Saldin stares into the mech and replies, "You should stay in your own realm, hellion. There you may have a chance." [Oh, demon Yvonne summoned last turn can also go.] * Yvonne has 'em hold back for now, though. They're melee. * Vega drops her pistol and gets out her shotgun with one hand while breach loading AP bullets with the other. She fires a carefully aimed shot at the mech. * Yvonne waves her arms instead. "Man, I just beat that guy and I gotta fight him again?!" [But her attempt to get a shot that would actually hurt meant that she misse.d] Only you get an extra army this time and there's that frog. [Soldiers open up on the mech to no noticeable effect.] * Breaker contemplates the electrical field around the mech. "Damn, how do I hit it?" From range, or watch the other guy or something. It's gotta be low on energy, right? [It does not look low on energy.] * Yvonne makes a face. * Raleigh then casts a quick spell and speaks in a surprisingly perfect imitation of Bookie's voice, given her present forms lack of human vocal cords. "Command Vamoose2117." The voice echoes from the mech itself and the piloting column is ejected, it flies 100 meters up and back and deploys a parachute. The lack of a pilot does not seem to be hurting the mech's operations. [Warlow, Will, Lanova. Oh and tell me if you are or are not standing behind Saldin where it's safe.] * Tim is totally behind Saldin, and checks if any of Yvonne's current set of demons can fly. * Yvonne doesn't have any flying demons :( Ahh crap, hey Yvonne? Feel like calling something up to catch him? He and his girlfriend'd appreciate it. [The patrol ships fire their main guns at the mech but miss. The helicopters are able to hit, but aren't penetrating the armor. A missile hit from the destroyer does look quite threatening, but it dodges out of the way.] The boy has a parachute. I'd focus on us. ::He swaps his ammunition.:: * Warlow herself stays right by Breaker in case anyone tries anything. No, no! Like this! * Tim points at the missile. [The warhead poofs out of the missile and reappears next to the mech. The possessed machine doesn't dodge it fast enough as its engulfed in an explosion. That section of the rig is badly damaged and the mech itself looks as if it lost a quarter of its health.] * Ceilia, meanwhile, anxiously watches a warehouse at shore. Its roof has opened and a Vanguard helicopter has flown out. [Kristof’s turn.] * The mechanical monstrosity faces Saldin but can take no action. Instead it charges its laser and cuts through the center of the rig. The beam effortlessly extends down through the base to cut through one of the four columns which is also sliced in two. [Those not with Saldin, give me body rolls, acrobatics help, if you want to stay on the remaining tripod. [Breaker, Warlow, and Will were not on the cut part. Vega manages to leap up in time, but most everyone else isn't.] * Saldin keeps her balance in her exorcism! Because she's awesome. * Tim keeps his balance because Saldin is awesome. "Okay, that has got to go." * Lanova raises her arms and calls up the sea to wash over the falling structure. Maybe she gets the people falling to safety, maybe not. I assume that's not your priority right now. * Will carefully analyzes the situation. "Shit." [Saldin's turn!] * Saldin maintains her effort on the monstrosity. White eyes glow golden in time with the amulet as she faces it down with a steely gaze. * Yvonne doesn't. Not this time, monk. [Yvonne's been holding, so she can go right now.] * Yvonne unsummons all her demons. "Maybe we should go." Being way the hell away is my mom's department, sorry, Saldin? How's you and fate and being elsewhere with Breaker? * Breaker reaches down to and yanks up a support column to prepare to start bashing the mech. But it was a support column for exactly where she was standing... * Yuri comes out from behind the crowd, her own robe slipping off as she takes her own amulet in her hand. "Fate's not as fickle as that, Tim..." she smiles at Will in passing. (Magical Appearing Yuri!) [The floor collapses beneath her and Warlow, Breaker is able to keep her footing. The good reverent is not and is now falling rather quickly towards the water.] * Will smiles back. "We have got to stop meeting like this." Yeah, well it was worth a... Breaker? Tell me you didn't just do that intentionally. * Yuri chuckles as her eyes take on the monky glow. "Part of me thinks you like it." * Breaker is looking aghast over the side and thus doesn't reply to Tim. (But you can probably guess her answer is no) * Warlow, for her part, screams. Apparently, this is not a time for British stoicism. * Tim would help, only he can't do anything more than hope the water mage down there decides to catch her. (Tim will get an action again before she hits. I'll say she falls for a round) [Raleigh, once her turn comes around, quickly sinks down the column and into the water. Her work here is apparently done. * Yuri finishes her walk, and with one last pulse, she focuses on the mech. "Old man, are you slipping?" she says as she focuses. Probably talking to the blue bombshell. * Breaker keeps staring over the side. "I really wish I hadn't done that." * Yvonne summons forth another demon. This one's actually a rather pretty giant bird, with peacock-like feathers. * Yvonne hops on its back and flies down to catch the fallen. * Tim tries to collect the robots head! Or at least it's eye beams, those things SUCKED [Yvonne, give me a roll for the creatures acrobatics or a piloting/animal handling roll. I'll say -4 bonus since you reacted fast.] * Saldin suddenly has glowing BLUE eyes trying to force their way through the gold ones. A semi-dramatic wind suddenly blows through the area, briefly. [Current situation. Warlow, falling, Breaker is on the lower floor of the rig. Yuri, Saldin, Will, Vega, and the mech up on the rig.] * Vega does use the opportunity to take another aimed shot at the mech. [This time, she hits. She manages to dent a key joint, although she didn't do half the damage Tim's warhead did.] * Tim points at the Mech, and a lot of nothing happens! [Yvonne is just skilled enough at demonic bird piloting and swoops up Breaker just in time. Yes, Breaker. Inexplicably, about at the time of the glowing blue eyes, Breaker and Warlow swapped places. Yvonne's piloting roll is not good enough to protect Breaker from all inertial damage, but she's hearty, so she can take it.] * Yvonne catches Breaker! Erm, somehow. "Wheee! You owe me big for this." * Kristof ignores Tim and fires off a series of missiles at where Breaker was a moment ago, and then turns to Yuri. "You would be wise to stay out of my affairs." * Yuri grins. "Yeah, well, I don't respond well to authority." * Warlow manages to overcome her confusion and escape the impact of the missiles just in time. [Everyone can go.] * Kristof laughs. It's a harsh quick sound. "Not because of authority, but because your foolish boyfriend made a profit on his dolls. His soul is now in default." * Saldin holds her ground, glowing eyes or not, although her facial expression changed when the glow happened. Glowflash! * Tim tries to return the missiles to their sender. * Yvonne flies around! "Hmmmmmmmmm.... Okay, I'm stuck." * Yuri looks angry. And puzzled. And angry. She keeps the pressure on. "You'll be pretty forfeit when we're done with you." * Will stares at the mech. "Wait, what, shit that actually had net... I'll give back the money. It was nothing!" * Breaker does still have her support beam. "Thanks for that, though, since you won, protecting me is your job." She grins. And we haven't even gotten to the victory sex yet! Wait, what?! Later! * Will fires blindly at the mech. [Vega aims a bit more, but they're both ineffective.] [One of the helicopters has switched to more effective ammunition and actually manages to ding the mech, which doesn't quite dodge in time. However, another destroyer missile is effectively dodged.] * Kristof aims his laser at the retreating Yvonne and takes a well aimed shot at her demon. She needs to give me a ranged defense (non-personal) roll. Oh, maybe you can beat me girl. But I can claim him now. He outwitted his old demon decades ago but I bought the contract and he got sloppy. [Yvonne ducks and weaves and stays quite safe.] * Yvonne sticks out her tongue. "Haha! You suck!" * Will charges up, trying to aim his gun slip in his gun at point blank range and already damaged joint and reinforce the damage. However, his gun-fu is inferior and he's zapped and knocked back by the electricity. [Everyone can go again.] [Vega is similarly ineffective.] And this is the best you can do with it? * Saldin is not affected by the demon's games, and holds her blue ground. * Yvonne stays airborne. "Hmmmmm.... Maybe I should help blast it." But for now, she waits! * Yuri glances back to Will for a second before focusing on the demon and going, "You--can't cash it in if we get you!" Still angry, the amulet and eyes flash again. At least this fight's got plenty of boobs. [Saldin penetrates his defenses this time. The mech staggers back as one exorcism after another hits his rapidly weakening defenses. Wrong! ::A massive arm waves at Will who abruptly stands up straight and turns around:: The deals done. He's mine. Banish me and he comes with me. Only your neutrality can protect him. * Will just looks at Yuri as he's frozen in place. More than anything he looks ashamed and humiliated. * Yvonne taps her chin. "Hmmm, but what if we just kill him dead?" [Anyone who wants, give me occult (contracts) rolls.] [Those who make know that he's not lying about banishing being irrelevant. If he's got Will in default, proximity doesn't matter. Killing Kristof would help, but you're not in a position to do that at the moment.] Hmm, to bad he can't just negate the whole contract then. * Kristof snorts. "Even if he could, he'd become nothing. A wanna-be actor with no powers, looks, and a few no longer cool tricks when wielding guns. Save his soul, but lose everything that made him, him." He could be an accountant! Exactly. * Yuri says, quietly, "Do it, Will. If you can..." Her teeth grit as she stares down the mech. You're forgetting the dating a hot babe bit. * Saldin doesn't look like he's going to take the sympathetic route this time. How? I mean, I can't just say I wish I never made that deal... [And everyone give me soul rolls. Yuri gets a -4 for hers.] * Saldin 's eyes glow blue again and that wind recurs. She doesn't... seem to notice. She's busy staring down evil. She doesn't even have hair or clothes to dramatically flap in the wind. [With that, Will simply vanishes. Those of you that failed completely forget that you'd ever met him. Instead, in the first round, Yuri fought and beat a hyper-intelligent velociraptor. Ultimately, it still wasn't really smarter than humans.] ... Well, that sucked. So like I was saying, at least this fight's got plenty of boobs. [Those of you that make remember the new continuity as well, but that's like a bad dream.] * Yuri 's eyes widen and her concentration breaks as she looks back to not see Will. A look of shock/horror is on her face! "No! How--that's not what I... I..." [The various war machines have been chipping away at Kristof, but not to great noticeable effect.] And continues to suck, what the hell velociraptor? Somebody’s been watching too much Jurassic Park IX. * Kristof laughs and brings his mechanical hand together with his laser gun. "You didn't think it would be free, did you girl?" [Yvonne can act before Kristof has the opportunity to do anything else.] [Yvonne!] * Yvonne shrugs. "Okay, I guess I'll give you guys a hand." She waves her arms, and two Grancers appear. [During the talking, the Vanguard helicopter has pulled close. Ceilia makes a superhuman running jump to reach it and gets pulled away. Apparently when she said evac, she didn't mean you people.] * Kristof just laughs and then suddenly the laser gun fires *through* his other mechanical hand. It's aimed right at Breaker who will have a +6 trick shot penalty *if* he manages to make this shot. [Yvonne can try a defense for that as well, if she's still carrying Breaker.] [Breaker is not able to squirm away. Yvonne's piloting?] ( Sure is! ) [Ranged (probably not your specialty) defense roll. +6 trick shot penalty.] [Breaker's right arm is singed and she screams anticipating losing the limb if not much more, but her erstwhile protector dives down and rapidly rolls out of the path of the beam.] Next time, I will have the advantage... * Yvonne grins back at her passenger. "You owe me a peek at your boobs, at least." Like what? Your own army? I mean you show up with a frog, steal a mech and a soul, and you're still talking like you can't win? * Breaker pulls up her shirt and bra. She's on the big end of a B cup. (In midair?) [And Saldin and Yuri, go for the final exorcism to banish rather than let him leave.] (Well, at least she's, uh, prompt.) (Yeah. Yvonne probably can't see her. But she does.) Fine... keep doing what you're doing! (Yvonne can probably grope her from here though) Okay! * Saldin keeps her focus on him and says in an appropriately cold voice, "You will get no advantage." * Yuri turns back to him and yells the ever-simple, "Shut up about him!" Golden exorcism glow! [Saldin succeeds in banishing the hell lord back from whence he came. Yuri reinforces the procedure, which will complicate any efforts to return to Earth for some time.] * Breaker pulls her shirt down again. "Well... uh, thanks guys!" Riiight. So, is there a way to get Yuri's boyfriend back from that or not? * Yuri stares at the exorcised mech for a moment and then slips to her knees, putting her hands to the ground. She closes her eyes, too. * Saldin turns back to the people and... looks confused. "Yuri's... boyfriend?" [Down in the ocean, it looks like the watermage did her job well enough. There may be some hurt and traumatized people, but she didn't make any really poor rolls.] And can it involve feeding the demon to a dinosaur? * Yvonne flies back down, unsummoning her Grancers. "That was easy." Because the two memories thing is giving me a headache. * Warlow and Vega both brush themselves off. "What are you talking about?" * Saldin frowns slightly and picks up both her and Yuri's robes as she replies, "You... are talking nonsense, Tim." She drapes Yuri's robe over her crouched form. No, I remember it. How can I remember it when Saldin can't? ::she sounds genuinely puzzled, not understanding that she rolled a 3:: * Yuri balls her fists and hits the ground, hard, denting it a little. Bong! ... Wait, the demon gives me a headache over the whole kidnapping thing, and you, the monk, don't even notice he did it? [Hearing rolls all.] [All who make notice that the now dormant mech has started quietly beeping. The beeping seems to be getting faster over time.] * Yvonne points at it. "Why's that beeping?" * Saldin begins to put her robe on and say, "Yuri, do you have anything to say about..." * Warlow survey's the damage. "The environmentalist are going to have my head for this..." ... Why does anything that's giant and mechanical beep? It's going to explode. Oh. Ummmm... Maybe we should go? * Vega looks up to. "I concur." Just maybe. * Yuri looks up, towards the mech, eyes widening. "Doesn't it ever end..." she stands up quickly, cinching her robe. [The people in the water have been steadily moved away from the rig. It's just good sense really when there's a big battle going on.] * Saldin starts to walk away, back turned. "Let us go, yes." Beat. "We can discuss Breaker's future." * Warlow calls for one of the helicopters to swoop down for a pickup. It rapidly responds, hovering just above the far edge of the rig with side door open. * Yuri balls her fists, still, in anger, as she follows Saldin. Her eyes are a little watery. Don't worry Yuri, we'll figure something out. * Tim then gets in the choppah. * Yvonne takes off. "Lamest victory party ever." * Warlow, Vega, and Breaker all board as well. * Yvonne takes off before Breaker can! Muaha! (Then Breakers still with Yvonne.) * Yuri just says, quietly, "It doesn't... make sense. Why, Will..." ( She owes me boobs. ) Err.. I think the helicopter would be more comfortable. What? I can't hear you! No fucking clue. * Breaker doesn't resist though. "Bullshit!" * Saldin looks after Yvonne going and frowns a little. "We have yet to talk, Yvonne!" she yells. * Warlow calls out to Saldin and Yuri. "C'mon, we'll follow. You can't walk onto a flying demon!" [The beeping is now almost a constant drone.] * Yvonne doesn't respond! She can't hear! Seriously! Before the place explodes! * Saldin and Yuri board. Or try to. [They succeed. The helicopter pulls up to follow Yvonne. Those looking behind notice the explosions originated from the laser and the remaining set of missiles. The initial explosions cause the mech to sinks into the lower levels of the rig. The subsequent explosion take out the third column causing the entire platform to collapse.] [Two columns, and all the PCs, are all that remain.] [End.]
