[Kurt wakes up in a rather dark room, apparently back in his own body, but also quite cold and feeling rather immobilized. He doesn't feel his limbs at all though they may still be attached. He was wearing night vision googles (if memory serves, correct me if I'm wrong), but they seem to be missing now.] [He hears a voice, and feels that he can move his mouth a bit and ears aren't really blocked. Similarly he's breathing.] [ Finally up? The effort it has taken to wakes you has me rather worried about the state of my body.] [Start (and he's feeling rather groggy)] * Kurt groans in pain. What... do... my body? Yes, I'm sure you're disoriented. Get it together, you don't have much time. UNGH. What... did you... do... to my body? * Voice sighs. "Incapacitated you. Note the fact that you're living before you get angry. Now, think of a reason for me to believe your word has any value or I'll leave you here to live or die based on the effectiveness of your teammates." * Kurt tries to calm down. * Voice, which Kurt is now definately thinking is male, continues. "What I'll want you to do, in exchange for your freedom, and a bit of information, is a few small jobs or one big one. Nothing immoral, just rather difficult." I can do difficult. Alone? I work better alone, 'fraid to say. * Voice chuckles. "Oh yes, alone's just fine. Now, give me a reason to trust your word." 'cause I never give up on a job once I've taken it. Against the rules, you know. Death before dishonor and all that. If I gave up, my family would kill me. Doesn't matter why I took it. If I agree to take it, I'm stuck. What's your family and clan? (feel free to just make one up. :P) (But tell me if you're lying.) Hanzo family, Kaminari clan. (True) Good enough, if you're lying I'm sure they'll be happy to hunt you down for me. And you accept my job? In exchange for? Your freedom ten seconds after I leave, and enough information to give you a fighting chance at getting out of this alive. No guarantees about that, but you're no good to me dead. And your name. Deal. And you accept on those terms? Yes. The leader is in the east bound (right) tunnel, a few cars up. He's teleported explosives into the rock at regular intervals, it'll be a chain reaction, by now the first one is likely already in, I expect you have about a minute until it goes off.... Wonderful. (And you're going to be out of continuity for a couple rounds, so go ahead and concentrate on KS or something for a bit. The main combat part is almost over so you'll catch up quickly. Essentially you'll arrive fifteen seconds after present round. They'll be four men with him, about four cars West (up) from the main cross tunnel. Although they may have scattered by now. ::guy starts moving quickly away, at the same time, the ice rather rapidly starts melting and you can move a little:: Your goggles are on the floor, the name's Phil Wilcox, and be at the train station in Kern Switzerland in four days for further instruction. Very well. (Okay, so at your leisure describe any steps to leave the ice faster.) * Kurt ignites both hands and begins slamming them into the ice as quickly as he can, just to get the hell out of all this water. ( Once my powers return, anyway. -_- ) ( Stupid water. ) ( This guy is like, my archnemesis. ) ( Okay, give me a powerusage roll of ACV ) [Kurt manages to get himself free without hurting himself any in about five seconds, although he's now standing in about a foot of water. Still can't see.] * Kurt starts feeling around on the floor for his gogs. (tries to figure out what skill that'd be.) ( This is why D&D has "Search". :P ) ( The closest equivalent in dX is awareness. ) ( Awareness, touch, roll) ( Easily. ) [Kurt manages to find his googles pretty quickly without having to actually crawl through the water. Luck him. Unfortunately that still takes about another fifteen seconds. He can now see he's in a small room carved by fairly unnatural seeming means as it's fairly square. There's a tunnel leading up and out of it.] * Kurt scowls at his surroundings and heads out of the room as fast as he can. He's got, like, forty seconds to stop the explosions. [Kurt comes out of the small hewn tunnel he's been traveling through. Give me a navigation roll (-4) and an awareness sense of choice roll.] ( Critical success on the navigaton, failed by 3 on the sense. ) [You think you're around precisely. The room you came from seems to have been several meters below F-25, if you work it backwards in your mind. None of that was on the map.] ( F25, huh? So the leader should be... christ, exactly the oppsite direction from where we entered? :P ) Around F23 or so? ( () that. ) (Actually, not quite, F-25 is just the room you were holed up in. He gave you instructions off of the main cross tunnel, not this one. The leader should be around G 19.) (Which, OOC but to keep it straight in your mind, was where Kahlya thought he warped to.) ( Okay. ) * Kurt goes invisible almost instantly and goes straight north, keeping an eye out for the enemies. (Wait... gah... just realized I forgot something. That would confuse things.) [You think precisely in G-15. The room you came from via the upwards sloping tunnel seems to have been several meters below F-25, if you work it backwards in your mind. None of that was on the map.] ( Ooooookay. Now you've confused me. ) ( Okay. ) ( You were in a square room of hewn stone. That room was located below F-25) ( So I've come up in G-15, and the boss is at G19 or so. ) (You followed a hewn stone tunnel that dropped you out at G-15) (Correct) ( Okay. ) * Kurt heads SOUTH then, at speed, heading straight for where mistar boss should be. It's time to get his ninja on.
