[September 21, 2020 1000 GMT.] [Jonathon is granted his interview, the Templar temporary headquarters for this project is a Yacht in the Channel. He's taken over to it via an EU motorboat.] [The Yacht's a forty footer, fairly nice but not opulent, some obvious advanced equipment from antennae and such.] [A slightly overweight older teenager with a South American complexion greets Jonathon when he gets there.] [Start] Welcome aboard Mr. Marlyne. [There's actually a stair up the side on the very back that's easy to use, if slightly damp. There's also a handrail and guardrail.] [Easy enough to ascend if you don't have the awkward defect. :P] * Jonathon climbs easily! Jonathon? Awkward? Ha! He smiles to the teen and salutes sharply. "Avast!" * Teen meets the salut and smiles, leading Jonathon inside. "This whole project is certainly getting a lot of press attention, you're the second one today." * Jonathon raises an eyebrow. "Second one? Not Miss Fatin was it?" * Teenager grins slightly as he gets to a door. "I'm not sure I quite remember who it was." * Teen's tone isn't remotely credulous, nor does it attempt to be. * Jonathon smiles and gives the teenager a look. "Not too trustful of the press? Good lad." * Teen smiles as you reach a door. He grabs a tub from a nearby cart. "On that note, could you deposit any weapons, magical items, and such before entering." [The interior again is nice, but not oppulent. There was a reinforced door you passed to get inside the Yacht and a few number of closed doors on this hallway. Including the one that leads to where the bridge should be. There's probably a stairway down somewhere, but it isn't clearly labelled.] * Jonathon shrugs slightly and takes off his coat, putting it in the tub, underneath he slips off his holster and gun and puts that in. He takes off his camera and gives it a look. "Does this count as "such"?" * Teen snickers. "Oh yes, more than the gun really." * Jonathon gives the teen a pained look. "Oh come now, how can a camera be used as a.." He snaps his fingers. "You have done your homework on me. Very well." He slips that in the tub too along with his duffle if it fits. "Won't need my tripod then." No. And I'm not here because of my stunning good looks. * Jonathon smiles. "So why are you here?" Well, Edge can be a tad unnerving during interviews, she just doesn't seem to have my way with people. ::He then opens the door to a room set up for an interview, the way its arranged would lead to the belief that it could handle television or radio if need be. Ruth will be with you shortly. * Jonathon shrugs. "I've met her. Charming lady. Carries an interesting sword. Could be useful, that. I imagine she's an effective body guard." * Teen gives a fairly prideful smile. "Oh, quite effective, although she's not the only one that can perform that role." * Teen gestures inside the room. "But I won't detain you." * Jonathon smiles. "I never implied that. I'm sure many would protect Lonava if given the chance." * Jonathon heads for a seat * Teen keeps the smile as he closes the door. [Jonathon has at least a minute for any setup or the like before someone enters.] * Jonathon just sets to make himself comfortable. They took away most of his equipment anyhow. * Lonava enters shortly thereafter, she's actuall in a semi-formal blue dress rather than her usual roes. Her hair is still braided and floor length though. "Good morning Mr. Marlyne." * Jonathon stands up and smiles, offering a hand as she enters. "And good morning to you as well, Miss Lonava. I love what you've done with the place." Thank you, although I'll admit I had little hand in its design. Mainly the EU then? And, as you agreed to, this part of it may be on the record. I'm curious as to how much the EU influence is involved in this project. No, the Yacht is ours and covered by our funding, I just had no hand in its design. And to answer your question we are actively coordinating the work with the European Union and to a lesser extent the British government. We're handling drainage and some reconstruction, while physical security remains the responsibility of the original agencies handling those matters. * Jonathon raises an eyebrow and picks at his outfit. "Physical security? Is that a major issue?" * Jonathon sounds a little concerned. Uncertain how much of it is reporter facade though. Before the tunnel repairs are completed it is particularly vulnerable. However, physical security was always a concern, but no more so than for any other major landmark. * Jonathon snickers and smirks at that. "Seems awful silly. The main destruction is already done." He sighs a little. "So how is the reconstruction coming along?" Barring unforeseen delays drainage should be completed within a month, operations should resume within two. * Jonathon nods and puts his hand on the arm of the chair. "As it is, and this should be off the record, I still do offer my assistance in the matter. Although the person I would speak for is a little afraid about meeting with you." * Lonava studies Jonathon for a moment. "May I ask what sort of assistance?" * Jonathon folds his legs and puts his fingers together. "A telekinetic. And a rather potent one." He looks at her to gauge her reaction. * Lonava looks interested and curious. "Such a person could be of use. What would this telekinetic want in return?" * Jonathon smiles. "Above all else? Discretion." * Lonava smiles back. "That is something I'm well equipped to provide, I'm sure I could find another excuse for handling a bit more of the project, but surely that isn't all this person desires." But I'll throw in a promise on her behalf, though this is me speaking and not her. A promise that she won't be pressured into any organization." He sighs and leans back. "I don't know how I came across to you in the tunnel, and perhaps I was a bit unfair with Miss Mozzarella's behavior, but I do value free choice above all else. That is why I'm not so officially affiliated with the Mi-5 even though I occasionally work with them. I can give such a promise, but I'll need to know exactly what you mean by pressure. Should I not offer at all? Hmm...it would be best if you do not, but I suspect she'd feel suspicious if you didn't try to sell your organization. * Jonathon opens his eyes a little. "She has reason to be cautious in organizations of these types. I'd prefer she remain unaffiliated. I'm certain you understand." * Lonava nods. "Then I will tell her we would consider accepting her if she was interested, but no more." [And break]
